The forensic team had begun carrying evidence out of the compound. The courtyard, once silent and abandoned, now hummed with controlled activity. Some officers carefully loaded sealed evidence boxes into the SUVs, while others continued photographing the buildings from every angle, capturing every detail before it could be lost. The flash of cameras illuminated the gray walls, preserving the evidence of cruelty for the investigation to come.

The compound had become busy. Voices called out across the courtyard, coordinating the movement of evidence and personnel. The sound of vehicle doors opening and closing echoed against the concrete. For the first time since entering, the silence had been broken by the purposeful chaos of an active investigation.
