Axel took one step forward, then immediately frowned.
'This world... Is completely different from what I imagined.'
Compared to the Pokemon world, this place was more like a slave world.
Most Electric-type Pokemon were gathered near power plants, providing their excess electricity. Metal collars restrained them on specially made platforms, tired sparks flickering in their eyes.
Every time they released electricity, they would gasp weakly, only to be frightened by the overseers' shouts into gathering energy again.
Fire-type Pokemon were trapped around massive furnaces, squeezed like living fuel.
The flames on Charmanders' tails were forcefully extracted through pipes. Growlithe and Arcanine lay on the ground with special devices connected to their backs, channeling the fire they spat into forging workshops.
Flying-type Pokemon carried loads far heavier than their own body weight. Every flap of their wings looked difficult, feathers falling everywhere. From time to time, exhausted Pokemon would fall from the sky, only to be whipped and driven back up.
Rock-type Pokemon dug endlessly day and night in underground mines. Geodude and Graveler were covered in cracks from years of labor.
The other Pokemon weren't idle either. Almost all of them had been gathered together to reproduce.
Those facilities were completely different from the breeding houses in the Pokemon world. They were cramped, filthy, and chaotic.
Female Pokemon were forced to pair with designated males only to produce more offspring.
Newborn babies would quickly be taken away, while the cries of the mother Pokemon echoed endlessly through the breeding grounds.
Humans weren't in much better condition either.
Axel saw ragged people working under the watch of armed guards. They also wore suppressor collars around their necks to prevent any chance of resistance.
Every face was filled with exhaustion and despair, their eyes empty like walking corpses.
'It is like a living hell!'
Axel stood there for a while. Almost everything he saw looked like a scene from hell.
Only in the luxurious skyscrapers far away did some "elites" stand beside giant glass walls holding coffee, smiling as they looked down at everything below.
"New guy? Stop standing around daydreaming!", a rough voice shouted, followed by the crack of a whip cutting through the air.
Axel suddenly turned around and saw an overseer in a black uniform walking toward him with an electric baton in hand.
Several Poke Balls hung from the man's waist, but they were specially made black versions with flashing red warning lights on them.
"Everyone who enters Team Flare territory has to work," the overseer sneered, pointing his baton toward the large building complex in the distance.
"Go to the central registration office and get your collar and assignment. Don't even think about running, or you'll end up like those useless idiots who disobey."
"This is Kalos?", Axel ignored his words and asked back instead.
"Asking so many questions? Tired of living?", The overseer's face instantly turned cold. He raised the electric baton and smashed it directly at Axel without hesitation.
Bzzzt!
Electric arcs crackled, but the scene of Axel collapsing that the overseer imagined never happened.
Facing the powerful shock, Axel looked completely fine. Instead, he grabbed one end of the baton and shoved it back hard.
"Ah!", The overseer let out a short scream. Before he could react at all, he passed out on the spot.
At the same time, an urgent alarm rang out from his waist.
Hearing the sound, the imprisoned people and Pokemon looked toward Axel in fear, then all ran outward.
"Tch!", Axel glanced at the terrified crowd fleeing, as well as the overseers charging toward him with their Pokemon, and temporarily lost interest in asking about the situation here.
"Better take control of this passage first... Groudon, Kyogre, come out."
White light flashed from the Poke Balls. Along with two enormous roars, the massive bodies of Groudon and Kyogre appeared in midair.
"ROAR!"
The earth-shaking roars seemed ready to tear the sky apart.
The two cries, carrying primitive rage and supreme majesty, exploded over this oppressed land like thunder.
The air itself seemed to freeze for a moment.
All the overseers charging toward Axel, all the panicked slaves running away, even the "elites" watching from the distant skyscrapers, all instinctively stopped and looked up at the sky in horror.
Then, heaven and earth changed.
To Axel's left front, the ground crazily rose and split apart. Burning magma erupted out, instantly vaporizing the snow and filth.
A gigantic black figure engraved with golden lava patterns descended with a thunderous crash.
Primal Groudon stood upon the earth like the incarnation of the land itself. Every breath it took released scorching heat waves, and its golden eyes burned with fury toward this enslaved world.
Its Desolate Land Ability activated. Moisture in the air rapidly dried up, making the heat suffocating.
Almost at the same time, behind Axel's right side, endless water vapor appeared out of nowhere and gathered into towering waves.
The giant dark-blue whale-like figure soared above an ocean that had appeared from nothing. Primal Kyogre was surrounded by storms and heavy rain, and its long cry shook hearts like the roar of an ancient tsunami.
Its Primordial Sea Ability spread out, opposing Desolate Land head-on and splitting the sky into a bizarre scene of half crimson and half deep blue.
Heavy rain poured down, carrying terrifying primal energy.
The Primal Reversion forms of the two super-ancient Pokemon appeared at the same time. The pressure they released felt almost real, making every living being who witnessed this tremble from the depths of their souls!
"Th-what are those monsters?"
"I-It's the legendary Groudon and Kyogre! But aren't they the Pokemon of the two Hoenn Kings? How could they appear here?"
The overseers were scared out of their minds. Their electric batons and weapons clattered to the ground.
The Poke Balls at their waists shook wildly. The Pokemon inside didn't even dare come out and could only tremble in fear inside the balls.
"What are you standing around for? Attack! Stop them!", From the tall building complex, an overseer who looked like a leader and had Gym Leader-level strength arrived riding a Skarmory.
Even facing Kyogre and Groudon, he still roared at the top of his lungs and forcefully threw out his Poke Ball.
Because he knew that if he didn't fight now, he would only die worse later.
A Houndoom appeared on the field. The moment it came out, it felt the world-ending pressure, but years of taming still made it bare its fangs and try to gather Dark-type energy.
But in Primal Kyogre's eyes, its resistance was no different from the cries of an ant.
Kyogre didn't even spare it a proper glance. It casually waved one of its massive fins.
In an instant, a Water Spout far beyond the scale of an ordinary Hydro Pump exploded forth with the power of the primal ocean.
The enormous water pillar seemed to connect heaven and earth as it swept forward with crushing force.
