In the beginning, she was always overwhelmed when someone ran at her, but by now, everything fits. Her entire fighting style interests me, since we haven't seen each other for a while. Milo sees how Suri fires the arrow from her bow; he narrowly evades it. I didn't show him how to throw something back like that. He gets closer and closer to Suri. She leaps into the air with a powerful jump, a tiny crater forming beneath her. Milo stops in his movement. While he looks up, Suri's arrows are already flying, which she fires mid-jump. He can evade one, but the other two hit him.
I look closer and see something that wins Milo the victory 100% despite his inferiority: He spins in a circle once to evade two more arrows. He churns up the earth beneath him, causing stones to rise from the ground. He kicks them up with his feet at an incredible speed. Suri evades one of the stones by shooting an arrow at it. She becomes inattentive after the two stone hits. She fires the arrows, which begin to glow ice-blue as she draws them. Milo catches an arrow, spins as fast as a vortex; he fires the arrow back with slightly stronger force. I look at him in surprise. This throw was so precise that no normal human could ever defend against such a thing.
Suri looks determinedly at the arrow flying straight toward her. Instinctively, she takes an arrow that simply appears in her quiver, since it is the infinite quiver I gave her back then. She puts all her strength and experience into this one shot. "If I don't make this now, it's over," she murmurs quietly to herself. The arrow increases to 5 times its size. While Milo watches her, she draws the bow as far as possible. She releases the string, which consists of pure mana. The arrow races through the air as if it were cutting the air itself. This arrow pierces through the one Milo threw back with ease.
Then it is clear to me: These two are on a new level that hardly anyone can reach. Milo is about to evade when the arrow already strikes the ground, leaving a giant crater. Milo lies on the ground with scratches and dirt, his arm leaned right over him, while Suri lands gently thanks to a draft of air created with wind magic. I go to them; Suri with a smile and Milo with a fake smile. "You both fought well," I say with a cheerful smile. Suri reaches out her hand to Milo with a joyful smile on her face. Milo nods, takes her hand, and stands up. "That was impressive, Suri," Milo says with an impressed voice. I pat both on the shoulder. "Good, then let's get going."
I walk ahead as I say this. The two follow me. I take the map with the drawn path in my hand. We walk through the forest without anything happening. "We are almost there," I say with a smile on my face. Finally, I can go back to the city where it all began: Lagoon. My gaze goes toward the sky. This will be like back at the beginning, only this time I have two friends right with me.
Meanwhile, Mia and Luna go from my homeland to the capital. A few hours later, Milo, Suri, and I stand before the capital. In only 10 hours, we managed to get here. The sun is slowly setting. At the entrance stands a guard who controls all people, just like when I was here for the first time. I will miss this peace between humans and beastmen. I see a man walking around with a beastman girl, wearing a lecherous face. My hands clench into fists while Suri looks at me with concern.
The guard controls one after the other. We line up. The streets are filled with humans, only few beastmen, but if any are there, they are kept like slaves. It's our turn. The guard controls me first. "Your papers, please," he says while patting down all my pockets. I hand him my papers. He looks at them; after looking for a few seconds, he gives them back. Next, he pats down Suri, so professionally that he even pats around her breasts instead of groping them, as is frequent. Suri gives him the papers. He looks briefly, nods, and gives them back. With Milo, it's the same as with me: he is patted down, gives him the papers he has in his pocket, and after a short time can then also enter the capital.
"Good, then let's look around," I say with a smile on my face. We walk through the crowded streets, although we will need a house to be able to live here for now. "Let's first go into the house from back then, it still belongs to me," I say, pointing down the street where the house stands at the end. The two nod at my statement.
In a side alley, a young beastgirl is currently being assaulted. I am about to run off when Suri holds me back with a shake of her head. I look at Milo, who also shakes his head. Tears well up in my eyes. I don't understand why they do it. I have only one thing left in my head: "Kill everyone who harms the beastmen." I calm down again. Tears roll down my cheeks. My smile disappeared in an instant. The hatred for the human-beastman behavior grows ever larger. The tears fall to the ground. Some people look at us in confusion. Suri takes me in her arms. I bury my face deep in her shoulder. She gently strokes my head. "Everything is fine, Min. We will make it, eventually," she says with an encouraging voice.
I release myself from her arms while Milo stands nearby. I wipe my tears away. It is true, it has become normal by now. But I will find a way to transform this world into one that is quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. My gaze turns into a determined rage that I had lost for some time. Only because I didn't see it in Kimura; I was so stupid. It will never be the way I want it without manipulation. But how should I manage that? I don't have the power of a god.
I take a step forward again to head toward the house. The other two are just arriving at the gate of Lagoon. We arrive in front of the house where Suri and I lived back then. I open the door with the key I have kept until now for exactly such a case. I go in first. No light works anymore, as the mana crystals are completely empty, not a spark of mana left inside. It isn't too dark to see anything at all. I cast a sphere of light, take the mana crystal from the chandelier. I let mana flow in, the crystal starts to shine in a bright light. I put the stone back. The room is illuminated in a bright light. I take off my black cloak, which is already quite dirty. I go up the stairs to wash the cloak on the balcony with fire and water magic. I hang the cloak over the balcony railings to let it dry completely.
"Hey, you there!" a guard shouts to Luna and Mia. He recognizes them as two from the incident about 2 months ago. Mia and Luna stop. They turn around. The guard runs toward them. Mia and Luna do not run away, but face the responsibility. They can't really remember everything correctly. "It's you, princesses! Come with me, you must go to the dungeon." The guard gasps for air from all the running. The two nod sadly at the truth that they cannot change the past. They are put in shackles and follow the guard obediently.
They walk through the human-filled streets to the palace of the King, Luna's father. They go down under the earth through a staircase. Cells come into view with many beastmen, but no humans. Then it becomes clear to Luna how heroically I acted back then, even though all of that was clear to me. Tears of joy come into Luna's eyes that she got to know such a person, whom she could even love. Her cheeks turn red at this thought. The guard throws them roughly into a cell. Luna wakes from her thoughts. Mia doesn't notice Luna's reactions yet. Luna wipes her tears away, but she doesn't notice that she is thinking of me the entire time.
A few minutes later: "Wait a minute, Min, how could I forget that?" she says to herself with a sad and shocked voice. She notices that ever since she has been in the dungeon, she remembers me. "What is it, Luna? Everything okay?" Mia looks at her with concern as she noticed the reactions. Luna looks at Mia in confusion. "Don't you remember?" Her voice sounds confused and worried. Mia is now the last one who knows nothing of me. Mia looks at Luna in confusion.
Meanwhile, I walk through the house to see if everything is still as it was before. I go back into the entrance area where Suri and Milo are sitting on the couch relaxing. I go into the kitchen to prepare something new. "So, let's get it out of the dimension ho..." I stop mid-monologue as I realize I forgot that I haven't gotten what I need for it yet. Milo looks confused while I go out.
I look at my status. My strength has soared to 1,930,400, but that didn't interest me. Meanwhile, I walk through a still busy street. Not far, then I am at a small stall. But before I do anything there, I first have to see what stands now instead of "Get someone to remember you and see what happens." I look slowly there with closed eyes. I open them slowly. Now it says: "Love conquers even the power of God."
"Does that mean if someone loves me enough, my existence reveals itself?" I murmur to myself and think of Suri in my mind. As if one could love me. Besides, I love Lisa. She is dead, but these feelings remain. I arrive at the stall and close the status. A man, a bit taller than 1.80. I ask for noodles, rice, tomatoes, carrots, and a few other things.
I arrive back home and go straight into the kitchen without the two asking me anything. I lay out everything I need: a powder for a broth, carrots, tomatoes, noodles; I don't need more than that. I boil water. It starts to boil, so I can put the noodles in. I am finished after 40 minutes. Milo and Suri noticed the cooking. I put down a pot of noodles and a pot of a carrot-tomato soup, which gets flavor from broth. I fill a bit for both.
We start eating. Suri eats first. Her cheeks turn red, not because it is hot, but because it tastes too good to her. I eat too, and Milo also starts now with the first bite. The taste is slightly spicy and the noodles melt on the tongue. I made them so they are as easy to chew as air. The carrots are also very easy to chew and the taste of the tomatoes vanishes into the entire sauce. After eating, we clear the table properly and clean up. "Min, you can really cook well," Milo says with a satisfied smile. Suri starts to giggle. "Yes, he can cook magically." Suri sounds bashful at these words and turns slightly reddish in the face. I smile and nod.
Then, after clearing up, I go up to my room, having shown the two their own rooms beforehand. I lie down exhausted on the bed in my bedroom. I look into the air. Mia is still confused by Luna's talking to herself; what she means by it just won't become clear to her. Luna notices her confusion. "You may not remember, but there is someone who trained us, saved and helped us, and is of course friends with us," Luna says with an explanatory voice. Through Mia's memories, many memories of me and the entire experience suddenly flood in. However, it seems to have been created through force rather than love. At that time, however, I know nothing of all this and fall peacefully asleep.
