Speed! It enhanced all of Zodexis's speed attributes.
Endurance! This meant he no longer needed sleep or food, granting him near-limitless stamina. He could even survive without eating or drinking for an incredibly long time. Though to Zodexis, this didn't mean much he already possessed agelessness, invulnerability, and immortality through atomic-level electromagnetic control.
Stamina! It made Zodexis even more impervious to physical harm, while also bestowing strong resistance on the mystical side.
Divine Power! Zodexis could now convert his energy into a divine-attributed form, of far higher quality, and highly effective against mystical enemies.
The power granted by hundreds of divine dragon souls elevated Zodexis from Skyfather level to Omnipotent Skyfather. He could even beat Odin while the All-Father wore the Destroyer armor.
"An ordinary Iron Fist only receives the blessing and power of a single divine dragon soul. But you've received the blessing and power of hundreds."
The Ancient One had known from the start that guiding Zodexis would lead to this result, yet she felt no regret.
Kunlun's strongest Iron Fist was probably going to shift from Wu Fengji to Zodexis.
But Kunlun certainly wouldn't recognize Zodexis as the Iron Fist. After all, Daniel had only recently become the current Iron Fist.
The Phoenix Force sensed the divine dragon souls shielding and isolating Zodexis.
Memories of being beaten to pieces by the dragon souls many years ago surged forth, and the Phoenix Force recklessly rushed into Zodexis's body without a second thought.
If the divine dragon souls wanted to protect this host, then it would just take the host for itself!
Zodexis furrowed his brow. The Phoenix Force had entered him too. His body was turning into a complete hodgepodge.
Strangely, the Phoenix Force and the divine dragon souls didn't clash the way Zodexis had imagined.
Instead, it felt like river water staying clear of well water.
"The Phoenix Force has suffered too much loss. It won't immediately conflict with the dragon souls. Instead, it will use you as a focal point to attract more fragments here," the Ancient One explained with perfect clarity.
"Once a large number of Phoenix Force fragments gather, you'll be in danger, Zode."
"For me, having no power is the true danger," Zodexis replied calmly.
He could already sense that he could command the Phoenix Force as easily as moving his own fingers. Unfortunately, the Phoenix Force he had obtained was far too weak, unable to even match a single divine dragon soul.
But since the Ancient One had said that the Phoenix Force itself was the best beacon, and that it would attract other fragments, Zodexis didn't need to worry about it growing stronger.
Besides, whether it was the dragon power or the phoenix power, to Zodexis they were merely tools for dealing with the mystical side. Beyond that, he practically never needed to use them.
The Ancient One was merely offering a word of advice. Once she saw that Zodexis had successfully received the Phoenix Force, she departed.
Zodexis teleported back to Umbrella Corporation headquarters. There was rarely any need for him to visit the Sword Bureau headquarters.
The floating fortress had been built as a joint global commission for Umbrella Corporation, serving as the Sword Bureau's base of operations.
It possessed full air, land, and sea capabilities. Normally, it maintained a hovering state in the sky, sustained indefinitely by its magnetic confinement fusion reactor. The sight of it made Alexander Pierce practically drool.
The fortress also boasted a powerful weapons system. It could touch down on land to become something like a colossal stronghold, or submerge into the ocean or simply float on the surface.
Had the circumstances been more appropriate, Zodexis's original idea was to put together a Victory Team.
"Forget it. When I eventually produce Gorgon and Melba, I'll set up a Victory Team and a Victory Team base," Zode murmured lazily, then opened the Black Queen's database.
A projection of an armor model appeared.
Kryptonian Battle Armor 199.
This was the latest product after one hundred and ninety-eight failures.
Kryptonian battle armor was actually incredibly powerful. As the movies showed, General Zod's group wore outdated suits that had been locked away in the Phantom Zone for many years, yet they could still beat down Superman, who had soaked up Earth's sun for decades. Those Kryptonians had never basked in sunlight at all, relying entirely on the sheer strength of their armor.
Zode naturally didn't need armor. With his current strength, he could tear apart every Kryptonian battle suit by hand.
But that didn't mean Zode had no use for armor at all.
Compared to a new invention like the Superhuman Serum, armor was clearly far easier to mass-produce. The serum required Zode to screen for minute differences at the microcellular level, so it appeared to have a one hundred percent success rate.
In reality, the odds were extremely low. Not even one in ten thousand people could successfully gain enhanced strength after consuming the serum.
As for why the Hydra male-model squad succeeded almost entirely, it was probably due to plot-character bonuses.
That made Zodexis shift his attention back toward those plot characters.
When Krypton exploded, the armor Zode had worn was the most advanced suit available. After all, he had been a researcher in the weapons and materials field.
His designs, however, had all been energy weapons. He hadn't really touched armor-type technology.
So he could only rely on his own ideas to replicate it.
This Kryptonian Battle Armor 199 was the closest to the suit Zodexis had worn when he first transmigrated. An ordinary person wearing it would gain a terrifying strength of five hundred tons, enough to brawl with an enraged Hulk or trade blows with Thanos.
The armor Zodexis had once worn could be considered Krypton's strongest battle suit. Its defense had been reinforced with raw Kryptonium, and the technology was freshly developed, still undergoing laboratory testing.
Zode had worn it in an attempt to survive Krypton's explosion. It turned out well—he transmigrated directly.
After repeating his research and wasting a great deal of materials in the process, Zode sighed.
He then returned to his room, and immediately saw Urd, Tifa, and Esdeath already there.
The three of them had a pot of soup set out in front of them.
"You're back," Urd said, quickly helping Zode with his suit jacket.
"Stewed soup?" Zode was slightly taken aback.
"Mm. Sea cucumber stewed with deer antler, bull pizzle, chicken testes, goji berries, and pigeon blood soup," Tifa promptly said as she prepared a bowl.
Zode: "..."
Was it really that nourishing? Was this some kind of hint?
Remembering that he'd been busy lately with mutant affairs and armor research, neglecting them, Zode felt a pang of guilt.
After all, he already treated them as his wives, even if there hadn't been a wedding or any formal proposal.
"Let's all go out and have some fun tomorrow," Zode suggested.
He also felt like he hadn't truly relaxed ever since arriving in the Marvel world.
Playing video games and the like certainly didn't count as real relaxation.
