The 85th floor was blazed down using fire. Another floor was blasted. Another floor was blasted. Another floor was destroyed.
"Yun, the scenery is so beautiful."
I stopped and looked away from what I was doing.
At the valley below was a waterfall and soft breeze caressed the high grasses softly. But there was nothing special about it. Nothing particularly beautiful.
I jumped down.
"…what are you doing?"
The voice spoke with slight hesitation.
"Watering myself."
The sun shone bright and I hid behind the waterfall.
"What floor is this?"
"87"
I smiled. A flower grew on my hair and fell down. It continued to grow till it came to push me away from the falling water and filled half of the valley. A dainty and purple flower, poisonous.
A high strung laughed echoed in the air as if a being without a vocal cord was joining together sounds. Purple spores and liquid poured from the flower. Wherever the liquid went the poison killed and the spores continued to grow more and more such flowers.
"Floor 88"
A plain field of grass with nothing in sight along the horizon and the ground filled with holes. A small chirping sound came around. Little mouse peeking out from their holes chirped upon the sight of a stranger only to run back in when walked nearby. Something dark and grimy spread from my feet like a tunnel to an ocean had been opened. The purple liquid covered the landscape with the rats and their chattering.
A quiet stillness took over the world.
A splash sounded.
And another splash.
For some reason the mouse were swimming in the poison.
I set the liquid bubbling and a black fire erupted. Still the rats were still scuflling in their holes. Then the world turned to ice and acid, but the rat were still merry.
I brought one up in the air and cut it clean in two. The bottom part fell to the ground but the top of the rat remained alive. I drew something of a flower on the back of its head. It didn't seem to feel pain.
After thinking I let it down and a rush of consciousness power spread from me.
In a moment the rats in the area stopped moving and fell into slumber.
I went to a hole and jumped inside.
"The boss room of the 88th floor. Adaptation"
Yet another rat in the cave. It fell into slumber. I walked outside and stood looking at the now acid green sky. A curiosity to see the rat's nightmare tickled but it ended itself and died. Not that it felt would be anything interesting.
A while passed, maybe a day, and the small flesh on the ground along with its kin above became cold.
*** Third person POV
"Floor 89"
In the middle of a desert was a pyramid. And a girl walked towards it with slow lazy steps. In the throne room a lamia, a monster with a woman's upper body snake bottom sat with its eyes closed taking deep steady breaths. It felt the air stirring and opened its eyes. In front of it the gates had opened and a slim girl stepped inside slowly.
The moment their eyes met, acid covered the lamia and its body started to melt.
Time stopped and the lamia's injuries reversed. In the next instant the lamia was overtaken by anger and lunged forward, tearing the girl's head off.
Time moved began to move. A hand grabbed the lamia. Time stopped again before the hand could do anything. The piranha tore away the hand grasping it and tore the rest of the girl to shreds. But instead of red blood and meat the girls' insides were green and smelled like flowers.
The lamia closed its beautiful eyes and thought before letting time flow again.
There was something about the girl.
The lamia turned and escaped out of the pyramid. When time began to move again the ripped apart parts of the girl immediately connected together and the girl remade sat in stifling silence.
She turned and made a cutting motion. The walls before her were cut and the cut she sew in air travelled till it cut the fleeing lamia into a bloody mess.
Fire started from the pyramid. Cold and blazing it grasped the sand and ate away.
