Even before he was born Steven's parents knew he was a genius destined for great things, he came into their lives as a blessing from above. Growing up he was adored and cherished by his parents, his older sister didn't stand a chance since she was no where near as smart as him.
It was clear who their favorite child was, taking only him everywhere they went, she was more of the forgotten sister. One time they actually forgot her at a party, she made peace with her truth, she was going to be neglected by her parents, forced to watch over them like a ghost in her own house.
Scarlet watched her younger brother from afar during the party, as she usually did. Would you like to play with me, Steven smiled at a little girl about his age, he was seven at the time. They girl smiled warmly at him, taking his hand in hers and running out together. Scarlet ran after them, looking around wondering where they disappeared to, the house they were in was in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by the thick forest. She was about to head back in after going into the forest a bit, when she heard muffled screams, she charged towards the sound hastily, stumbling back and breathing heavily when she found the little girl tied up by some bushes. Are you okay, did my brother do this to you, she untied and removed the handkerchief which was used as a gag from her mouth, the girl crying out take me to my mommy and holding her tightly.
What she saw in the forest was undoubtedly done by her little brother, but she knew all too well that her parents weren't going to believe her, their little star could never do something wrong, she needed evidence. Mom, my friend and I have something to say, she came hand in hand with the little girl, whom she made visit under the guise of a playdate, and just barely managed to convince her to tell the truth.
What's wrong sweetie, her mom asked, not looking away from the tv. What, she quickly paused the show she was watching and turned to her daughter, how could you accuse your brother like that, she frowned, your dad will be very disappointed if he hears of this, she scolded. No mom, please listen, go on Ella, tell her what Steven did to you, her expression grew fearful as she turned to look at Scarlet. No, he didn't do anything, she yelled and broke free from Scarlets grasp, before running away. No mom pleas…. her mom slapped her across the face before she could finish talking. Mom, Steven ran and hugged her as if he was scared of the situation, oh sweetheart it was nothing I was just talking to your sister, she babied him, completely ignoring Scarlet who was sobbing with her hand over her cheek.
She looked up at Steven who smiled at her cheekily, from that moment onward, as hot tears ran down her cheeks, one which stinged became of the slap she just received. She knew she was no match for this psycho.

Steven left the door open nonchalantly for the guest to walk in, and sat on one if the chairs. I want you to be my boyfriend, he laughed hard at the bizarre request, uncrossing his legs, and gasping for air as he held his stomach. What's so funny about being my boyfriend, Riele asked after the mocking laughter. You just made me tear up, he sighed and wiped his eyes, I don't want you, and you know that, so why do you keep bothering me, his voice turned stern as he stood up and looked down at her.
Riele held the strap of her bag tightly, feeling her confidence retreating, because I want you. She challenged him almost meekly, just tell me what I can do to make us date and I'll do it, she finished, her heart pounding as he came closer, her eyes glued to the floor as her pupils flickered about.
Bring me Penny, her eyes twitched at the mention of Penny's name, she was annoyed by the fact that even after all these years, he still wanted her. Why do you want Penny, she doesn't even want to see your face, she explained softly. If you bring me Penny, then I'll give you a chance, he flashed an evil smirk, knowing that she was going to take the bait for sure. You'll give me a chance?, she repeated to herself, fine I'll make her meet you, but you have to keep your end of the promise, she warned. I always keep my promises, he held her finger and winked, causing her to go red.
Come on let's go home, Patrick leaned over the counter. Nope, she smiled I have somewhere to be, oh this is why you demanded to be off night duty, so you can be off gallivanting huh. I'm meeting Riele, Patrick raised a brow at her answer, I heard Jackson out, so I should give her a chance too, it's only fair that way right?. Should I drop you off, he asked seeing through her smile, that she was nervously and definitely didn't want to see the twins for a while.
That's fine, we're just meeting by a playground near their house, I'll be home soon, so have dinner ready for me, she finished. Okay then, he said uncertainly, I'll be off then, wait for me, Maddie sped out in normal clothes interlocking her hand in his, can you also drop me off today, she smiled brightly at him. What's he so happy about, she muttered to herself upon seeing the warm smile he gave her, what was that, nothing, she replied Rose, I'll be off now, she forced a smile, not knowing the reason for her heartache.
As she got closer and saw Riele on the swings, she grew nervous, as if the luxury car she saw a few steps back wasn't already making her anxious for some reason.
Hi Riele, she greeted and took the swing beside her, hi, she replied nervously. I don't know why you didn't just reach out to me earlier, we could have avoided this conflict, we could have avoided this betrayal if you just spoke to me. All of a sudden the hairs on the back of her neck stood up, she knew this feeling all to well, that luxury car made her anxious for a reason, could this be a set up by Riele, she thought to herself, but why. She called her here to apologize not betray her again.
