Chapter 38 - Star fall vs Morrigan

Incredible volumes of liquid create waterfalls down my new body as I rise above the ocean's surface. I claw my way out like I'm drowning, but I doubt I even need to breath anymore. Morrigan looks so small now, her pink flame is the only large thing she has anymore. But she took my arm… she destroyed my home… get that happy look off your face!!!

"Yes! Yes you've done it!" Tears stream down her face and she falls to her knees like the water below her was a solid. Oh, I see. Our life energy is a mimic of the planets, a gift in the form of a flicker. But if you can see it, interact with it you can… oh yes. I climb up on the slightly solid sea, the world itself straining against me to return to it's natural state. Before it can retaliate I've made it up. "Thank you! Thank you so much!" Don't thank me! Don't treat this like it's good for you!

"Roarggghhh!!!" I try and scream at her but language won't help me. My body has mutated, giving me this amazing transformation, but with the dinosaur throat as well. I can think just fine despite all this buzzing static in my head, but I simply can't speak. But with that roar my wings unfurl, releasing a power so great that it parts the clouds on contact. My pink flame is almost tangible now, able to affect the world with concentration. Hundreds of airborne kaiju become red paste from the force, but even now I can feel traces of their life energies entering my body. I can see the very battery for life in living being, I can even command it to a degree. But enough of taking it in. If I'm right I can turn back and stop this before it gets too bad. But first I'm gonna kill her. A tail swipe comes for her but she leaps over it with a trained urgency, the massive wave from my movement almost refusing to touch her. But she's so slow now, I can immediately hit her with a truck sized punch. Every bone in her body breaks at once as she flies miles through the air. In a mere moment she's already healed herself, but that's a moment not focusing on the fight. I expand my pink flame rapidly, creating a growing wall that only we can see. "Thank you!" She raises her hands just in time to raise a barrier of chains, but they break immediately. A force enough to alter the very planet slams into her, once again breaking most of her body. At this point she's been blown back to the battlefield, which seems to have stopped with both sides being in a sort of stalemate. Morrigan expends even more energy to heal herself while the forces of monsters and man look up to the clear blue sky. My new titanic body can still fly just as well as before, maybe even better. So many souls down there, all flickering with emotion when they see me descend. That's fine because I already knew there would be consequences after the battle.

"You utter fool." Even here I can hear Lancelot chastise me with more disappointment than anger. If Misty and Satoshi are here then I can't tell them apart from the others. Something crashes into my flame, shattering on impact against the greater power. I unintentionally growl at the ship that shot at me with its cannon. Are they seriously attacking me right now? I consider just ripping their souls out but stop myself. But I'm definitely tempted. Lancelot walks over to Morrigan in the centre of the graveyard of metal and flesh. Her metal hand places itself on the witches shoulder.

"He'll kill you. He's as dangerous now as the star fall of myth. Do you not understand what you have unleashed? Help me stop the monster you made." Oh come on.

"No, I did my duty. That's all that matters. I won't let you ruin this.".

"But you don't want to die do you?" Morrigan looks up at her. "You have too many regrets. Despite what you may say, you have to live to fix things. Help me, then we shall go back to being enemies if that's what you wish." No more words are spoken, but an agreement is reached. "I'm truly sorry, but you were warned of the risks and the consequences!" I can feel my body getting heavier under her gaze. From Morrigans gems the demon and dragon emerge to attack me. Along with that all the ships and kaiju start firing on me with bullets and elemental blasts. This new barrier is certainly really useful, it's absorbing all the blows in my place while I shake of the gravity hold. With a wave of my clawed hand my pink flame vaporises miles of seawater, sending every ship and kaiju save for the big two flying and burned with steam. The ships are sturdy enough to survive and from this weird sense I've got I'm sure the crews will survive. But I'm cutting it close. I didn't mean to go that far, but when I was just me I blew up a mountain, and I'm a million times stronger now. I take flight, breaking out of Lemcemots hold. She and Morrigsn were completely unaffected by the steam so they simply follow me into the sky on the backs of the demon and dragon. We all soar into the sky, going higher than I ever have before. Despite my size I can still gracefully avoid most of the Fire and Water attacks. I even manage to push through those weird psychic waves from the demon, like I have a million meet shields in my brain. But then I feel myself slow down, or rather everything speeds up. It's that same wait as before, Lancelot is using her speed up in reverse on me. And with that opening Modrigan uses the poison blood trick that took me out last time. The pain is excruciating, but my body is already working to break down the poison. You'd think that my blood itself being the poison would slow my healing down but no. But it does leave me open to a joint punch from them to my huge stomach. The force is so strong that it breaks through my barrier and sends me even further up. By the time I've fully healed and can take it in I realise that I've completely left orbit, even if it's hard to tell at first because of how much I'm spinning. So that was their plan. Smart, but I just easily push myself back down with a blast from my pink flame. Another massive barrage of attacks come my way as soon as I enter the atmosphere. But this time I'm ready. I've gotten used to this body enough to understand it to a degree. With a dramatic gesture I summon ten thousand flying kaiju on a second, each growing out of a floating flame in front of me. They easily block the chains. I can power these guys up as much as I want now, I can make them all A rank at the very least, as well as modify their features on the fly. That's why they all have such thick armour. With a roar my swarm flies at the speed of sound, house sized bullets charging at the two women. They both leap up to dodge the first few, their stead's smashing through many that got through, though losing a decent amount of flesh in the process. The witches do better, my kaiju very cells breaking Morrigans command and Lancelot crushing them with supercharged gravity punches. There's enough force in those punches to break the moon, and I hate how these senses let me think in those terms! I shouldn't know how much force it takes to do that! Either from the sensory overload or just a regular old power trip I end up getting hit by them again. But in a rage fueled by everything the witches have done, I take it head on and punch back. With how powerful I've become I can appear behind them even after they've been hit to do it again, and again and again. I've created a cage of violence in the sky that only their adanced Healing has let them survive. But that's ok, if I just absorb their flames they'll d- oh. What the hell id wrong with me? My last punch missed as my body starts to shrink. Scales, wings, tails, horns and everything else recedes back into me. My body becomes as ordinary and weak as it was five minutes ago. Of course I don't have wings anymore or even any energy to speak of. So I just plummet. I think if I fall asleep now I won't wake up again, even if the fall doesn't kill me. But it doesn't. Someone catches me before too long. Silky hands and a feint buzzing let me know immediately who it is
