Aurora had barely recovered from the surprise of finding twenty-nine extra chickens when another unexpected sight greeted her at the longhouse construction site.
The moment she stepped into the clearing, her eyes instinctively swept across the piles of materials prepared for the day's work. The neatly stacked logs, bundles of bamboo, sharpened claw tools, and soaked bark were all where they were supposed to be. However, something immediately caught her attention. There were far more bundles of rope than she remembered leaving behind yesterday.
She slowed her steps, counting them one by one before silently calling for Navi.
