Not because her question offended him, nor because she had somehow challenged his authority.But because for a moment, he genuinely didn't understand what she meant.
Aurora watched his expression carefully and realized he looked… confused.That wasn't the reaction she had expected.She frowned slightly before deciding to clarify.
"Okay, let me see if I understand correctly."She shifted her weight and looked directly into his glowing golden eyes."Youare saying I have your fire."
Elixir gave a small nod.
So she continued, "Then what?"
His expression didn't change. He still hadn't been able to catch up with what she's talking about.
