Watching the argument between Izumi and Yukari Yakumo, Yuyuko Saigyouji genuinely did not know whether to laugh or cry.
Were these two actually children?
They had somehow started wrestling like grade-schoolers.
At some point, Izumi had pinned Yukari directly to the floor and smacked her repeatedly until she finally surrendered and begged for mercy.
Only then did he release her.
Yukari rubbed her face miserably, looking deeply aggrieved.
This man truly showed absolutely no mercy.
Too cruel.
"You know," she huffed angrily, "if you keep acting like this, you're going to lose me someday!"
"Stupid man!"
Hearing that, Izumi immediately sneered.
"Then let's break up."
"I'll just find a new one."
The moment those words left his mouth, Yukari's eyes widened in horror.
"You're abandoning your wife and child?!"
"You don't even want our child anymore?!"
Izumi instantly looked speechless.
"What child?"
"It'd be amazing if one actually existed."
Then he waved dismissively.
"Anyway, I'm done messing around with you."
"I'm leaving."
"You two can keep entertaining yourselves."
The moment he finished speaking, Izumi vanished from Hakugyokurou entirely.
Watching him disappear, Yukari could not help muttering bitterly,
"Yuyuko… don't you think this man is unbelievably insensitive?"
"He doesn't even know how to properly pamper his girlfriends."
As Izumi's lover, Yukari felt profoundly dissatisfied.
Hearing that, Yuyuko blinked thoughtfully before answering in an unusually calm tone.
"Maybe it's because Izumi-kun has too many girlfriends."
"Look how many there are already."
"You, me, Megumi Katou, Rias Gremory, Akeno Himejima, Sona Sitri…"
As she listed the names one by one, Yuyuko eventually let out a deep sigh.
"Yukari…"
"Izumi already has so many girlfriends."
"So naturally, he probably doesn't feel particularly anxious."
"The fact that he still comes to spend time with us is already pretty good."
"We really shouldn't ask for too much."
Yukari froze after hearing that.
Then she stared at Yuyuko in disbelief.
"You've changed, Yuyuko."
"You definitely weren't like this before."
Yuyuko tilted her head innocently.
"Have I?"
"I don't think so."
Before long, the two of them began quietly bickering with each other once again.
Meanwhile, Izumi had already returned elsewhere.
The moment he arrived, Asagi Aiba immediately grabbed him by the arm.
"Come with me."
"I've been looking for you."
Izumi blinked in confusion as she dragged him away.
"What's going on?"
Without slowing down, Asagi replied excitedly,
"I successfully mass-produced four-digit-class artificial angels."
"Come take a look."
Hearing that instantly caught Izumi's attention.
Pulled along by Asagi, he soon arrived at her massive research facility.
Quite a few people were already gathered there.
The moment Lala Satalin Deviluke spotted him, she immediately rushed over happily.
"Izumi-kun, you're here!"
Right behind her came Momo Belia Deviluke.
"H-Honey—"
"Brother-in-law, you're here!"
Halfway through speaking, Momo hurriedly corrected herself.
Nearby, Nana Astar Deviluke immediately narrowed her eyes suspiciously.
Something about Momo's reaction felt extremely wrong.
Why had she almost called Izumi "darling"?
Nana suddenly felt like there was definitely something suspicious happening behind the scenes.
Still, she wisely chose not to say anything.
Besides the Deviluke sisters, Daedalus was also present.
So were Nymph and Ikaros.
Izumi's attention soon shifted toward the enormous glass chamber ahead.
Below it stretched a gigantic production facility.
Inside countless incubation chambers lay humanoid angels.
Even while inactive, all their information instantly became visible to Izumi.
Every single artificial angel possessed genuine four-digit-level power.
Not only that—
They had been equipped with all kinds of Divine Constructs, Sacred Gears, and powerful armaments.
Some even possessed equipment similar to the Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon.
Seeing this, Izumi immediately looked speechless.
"If you keep this up, aren't you worried Gilgamesh is going to come after you?"
This was practically provoking the King of Heroes directly.
Yet Asagi merely looked completely indifferent.
"Not worried."
"He can't beat me anyway."
"And besides, I'm on very good terms with Enkidu."
"There are valid reasons for equipping them like this."
"Basically, I installed everything I possibly could."
Then she continued proudly,
"I also upgraded Nymph."
"Though there are still some things that require your help."
"Otherwise, we can't break through the current limit."
"To be honest, I've hit a bottleneck."
"It feels like artificial angels can only reach the four-digit level."
"I can't seem to push them into the three-digit realm at all."
As she said this, obvious frustration appeared on her face.
No matter how much research she conducted, it felt as though an invisible wall completely blocked further progress.
After hearing her complaints, Izumi looked utterly speechless.
"Do you realize how ridiculous you sound right now?"
"Back then, you probably wouldn't even have dared imagine mass-producing four-digit beings."
"In the past, could you have pictured yourself accomplishing something like this?"
Then he smirked slightly.
"Honestly, before meeting me, you weren't even considered top-tier among geniuses."
Asagi froze momentarily after hearing that.
Then she thought about it carefully…
And realized he actually had a point.
