Under Vegeta's fierce interception, the spaceship failed to escape Namek's atmosphere.
Fortunately, Vegeta was fast—and strong—enough.
Otherwise, once the ship broke free of Namek's gravitational pull, even if he could briefly survive in space, he would never have been able to stop it from leaving the star system.
Even with Super Saiyan power exceeding one hundred million, he could only pursue it with energy attacks—and only while the ship was still accelerating.
Once it completed acceleration, even light-speed energy blasts wouldn't be able to catch up.
After forcibly slamming the spaceship back to the ground, Vegeta took control of the remaining Frieza Force logistics personnel aboard and located the five Dragon Balls stored in the cargo hold.
For Vegeta, the true culprit—Frieza—was already dead. The violent and unruly soldiers had also been eliminated earlier.
The people left on this ship were non-combat personnel. As long as they were willing to obey, Vegeta had no interest in killing them.
After all, the wise submit to circumstance.
Frieza was dead. If these people still foolishly clung to loyalty, Vegeta wouldn't hesitate to send them to join him.
Ultimately, the reason Vegeta spared them was simple: they were elites.
One should never underestimate the efficiency of Frieza Force personnel. They would be extremely useful for his future plans.
Just like those on Frieza Planet 79, Vegeta's earlier subjugation and recruitment were all preparations for what lay ahead.
Earth was too small.
Although the original flow of events revolved around Earth, its resources were pitifully limited.
By controlling Frieza Force logistics staff—and even soldiers—Vegeta could solve countless future inconveniences.
He could acquire resources from other planets anytime, anywhere.
Vegeta wasn't particularly interested in high-end technology, but once technology reached a certain level, its value was undeniable.
It could absolutely aid in improving strength and efficiency.
Even if these forces eventually proved unnecessary, they would still be of immense help to Bulma's research.
Bulma was known as the greatest genius in the Dragon Ball world—but in truth, there were vast fields she had never explored.
Give her enough resources.
Give her enough options.
Vegeta believed that one day, Bulma wouldn't be limited to Earth. She would expand into the stars.
The future of this world would not follow the original path.
If it did, then his transmigration would truly have been meaningless.
"Lord Vegeta," the mushroom-headed alien reported respectfully, "as per your instructions, news of Frieza's death will not be leaked for now.
However, there is one thing you must know. In less than three days, the Ginyu Force will arrive. By then, they will inevitably learn of Frieza's death."
Vegeta remembered this man.
He was the head of Frieza's Royal Logistics Division—his authority second only to Dodoria and Zarbon, far above ordinary subordinates.
If these people had escaped Namek, he could have secretly issued orders and gradually taken control of the entire Frieza Force.
As long as Frieza's death remained hidden, this man would effectively be the highest-ranking officer.
"It doesn't matter," Vegeta replied calmly. "Let them come. Once they arrive, they won't be leaving."
He wasn't concerned about the Ginyu Force at all.
They were ants. A casual move would be enough to wipe them out.
The reason for concealing Frieza's death was simple—to buy time.
One more day meant one more day of growth.
Because once King Cold and Cooler learned of Frieza's death, they would undoubtedly seek revenge.
And there were Dragon Balls—wish-granting artifacts.
From what Vegeta remembered of the original events, King Cold likely wasn't far from Namek.
It was entirely possible that he had already been heading there in pursuit of the Dragon Balls.
In the original timeline, by the time he arrived, Namek had already been destroyed, and he only found Frieza's shattered remains drifting in space.
That meant King Cold's arrival wouldn't be too far off.
Vegeta was confident he could kill King Cold without issue.
The only real concern was Cooler.
If Cooler also arrived too soon, that would be troublesome.
Right now, time was everything.
With enough time, Vegeta could train on Namek and push beyond Super Saiyan, rapidly raising his base combat power to at least ten million.
By then, even if Cooler appeared, Vegeta could suppress him head-on.
His thoughts settled, and Vegeta slowly lifted his head.
"Speaking of which… you'll arrive in three days too, Kakarot."
A faint smile formed at the corner of his mouth.
In any case, Kakarot would never get the chance to meet Frieza now. The original grudges and destiny between them no longer existed.
…
In space.
At that moment, Goku was undergoing sixty-five times gravity training.
Since leaving Earth, in just three days, his strength had grown at an astonishing pace.
"Goku, Goku—can you hear my voice?"
North Kai's voice echoed in his mind. Goku snapped out of his intense training and steadied his ki with effort.
A few seconds later, he looked up and asked, "North Kai? Why are you contacting me again? Did something important happen on Namek?"
"Yes," North Kai replied gravely. "Something major happened on Namek. That's why I'm contacting you. The situation is like this…"
As North Kai explained everything in detail, Goku gradually learned the full story.
"So… Vegeta really killed that galactic emperor, Frieza?" Goku asked.
"Yes," North Kai confirmed. "Frieza's death is a good thing—but not for you. Don't forget, you defeated Vegeta on Earth and humiliated him. If you go to Namek now, you'll most likely be killed."
"I advise you to turn back to Earth immediately. With Vegeta's current strength, he shouldn't bother you on Earth anymore."
As North Kai finished speaking, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Chiaotzu all chimed in, urging Goku to abandon his trip to Namek.
The situation there had stabilized.
At the very least, Vegeta shouldn't do anything irrational right now.
Rather than walking into certain death, it was better to avoid the blade's edge.
