You're not really to my taste. Could you turn around while you talk to me? I'll forgive your rudeness, so please. — Hiru Tsugikuni
Rank: Hashira [Human Hashira. Although most people consider it unlucky, he personally doesn't mind.]
Born during the Sengoku Era. After his family fell into decline, he took a self-made medicine and became another Primordial Demon after Muzan. He has absolutely no talent for martial arts, but he loves painting. Under the names Asahi and Yomi, he left behind various works of art throughout the world.
His Blood Demon Art is also built around painting. His greatest wish is to see Muzan dead, and he hopes his second aniue, Yoriichi, will stop taking responsibility for everything just because he is too capable.
He joined the Demon Slayer Corps after being captivated by Sakonji Urokodaki's superb woodcarving skills, which is why Corps members often hear Hiru, the Human Hashira, wondering how he ended up in such a miserable situation.

Demon Slayer Corps Investigation on Hiru:
Outside of missions, if Hiru isn't painting, he's either eating sweets or on his way to eat sweets. It is worth mentioning that he never gets lost when looking for a sweets shop. — Kitaro
Human Hashira-sama is very strong and is brothers with Sun Hashira-sama. Though his words can sometimes leave people unsure how to respond, his actions are always very warm. He even carefully gives us peace knots he wove himself as return gifts. He is a very, very good person. — A Kakushi girl who wishes to remain anonymous
His silver-gray sword is beautiful, but he himself is a terrible swordsman. Terrible. — Swordsmith Akiha
His knowledge of medicine is astonishing, especially when it comes to all kinds of medicine for Rare Blood and demon toxins. He is an incredible person. — A Kakushi working at the Kocho Mansion
His methods against demons are extremely brutal. It's a little frightening when he smiles while packing up demons and explaining things to us. — A Kakushi in charge of deliveries to Mount Fujikasane
Evaluations of Hiru by Demon Slayer Corps swordsmen of the same rank and some Corps members:
Ubuyashiki [Commander of the Demon Slayer Corps]: He acts without regard for worldly convention and follows his own standards, precisely treading the line. Whether as a human or as a demon, his restraint and decisiveness are impressive. That said, it would be even better if he could rein in that subtle bad taste of his a little more.
Yoriichi [Sun Hashira]: My most important otouto.
Gyomei [Stone Hashira]: Though his personality is not particularly steady, he is a gentle and reliable person. He seems to rely on Yoriichi a bit too much, and his personality is far too lively. He does not seem like a demon who has lived for hundreds of years at all. However, after the final battle, he became much more composed. It appears to be due to the influence of his Blood Demon Art.
Tengen [Sound Hashira]: He'd be much flashier as a painter than as a swordsman! We get along very well. The fact that he overcame both sunlight and wisteria as a demon is also incredibly flashy. But in the end, he actually vomited because of my blood. Even after his death, I still get angry about that when I burn paper offerings for him.
Kyojuro [Flame Hashira]: Umu! A very reliable senior who helped me greatly. I have always been extremely grateful!
Giyu [One of the Water Hashira]: He taught me many things and many useful ways to deal with situations. I like him a lot, but I never expected him to be a demon. It was quite a shock.
Sabito [One of the Water Hashira]: A very reliable companion. Sometimes he unconsciously shows a rather terrifying, scheming expression, but he is also easy to get along with and very tolerant of others. A deeply contradictory guy. I never expected him to be a demon at all.
Obanai [Snake Hashira]: He always carries the scent of a demon, which is unpleasant. We can get along well enough, I suppose. Finding out only at the end that he was a demon especially irritated me. It felt like I had been deceived.
Sanemi [One of the Wind Hashira]: My savior and a friend I can talk to, but sometimes he is very scatterbrained, and I don't know what he's thinking. The fact that he was a demon came as quite a surprise. During the final battle, he erased my memories and toyed with me like prey. Even though he apologized afterward, I'm still very unhappy about it.
Yuichiro [One of the Wind Hashira]: His completely unfounded affection and favoritism put a lot of pressure on me, but it is very warm and makes me unconsciously want to rely on him. He feels more like someone my own age than an elder. The fact that he was a demon was not too surprising, but the fact that he was my ancestor was extremely shocking.
Muichiro [Mist Hashira]: He feels a lot like a rabbit. He looks very well-behaved, and being around him doesn't feel stressful, but when he bites, it really hurts. He feels very much like an older brother. I can rely on him. I like him.
Makomo [One of the Water Hashira]: Being around him is very comfortable. Although he has a somewhat childish personality, he is very reliable. The fact that he was a demon was a little surprising. Also, Hiru is very bad at refusing people.
Mitsuri [Love Hashira]: We often eat sweets together. He was the first person to compliment my hair. I like him a lot. He's like an older brother! Huh? What? So he was a demon?
Kanae [Flower Hashira]: A very gentle and reliable person. We often discuss matters related to demons, and I received a lot of guidance from him. I just never expected that he himself was a demon.
Shinobu [Insect Hashira]: I learned a lot from him, and I respect him deeply. But his personality is irritating, and the fact that he was a demon is even more irritating. Yet in a certain sense, I can't hate him either. It's very complicated, and I don't know how to face him.
Tanjiro [One of the people who noticed something different upon meeting him]: He is a very gentle and patient person. However, whenever a prank or some unconscious act of deception succeeds, I can always smell the scent of enjoyment from Hiru-san.
Zenitsu [One of the people who noticed something different upon meeting him]: The first time we met, he scared me half to death. After spending time with him, I suppose he counts as a decent senior. I'm very grateful to him for what happened with Kaigaku, but the way he always says things contrary to what he means is a little hard to understand.
Hiru's Evaluations of the Demon Slayer Corps Members:
On Ubuyashiki [Commander of the Demon Slayer Corps]: A very sickly person, but his willpower is terrifying. An extremely capable leader. His ability to make money is frighteningly high too.
On Yoriichi [Sun Hashira]: Nothing much to say. Aniue is number one in the world.
On Gyomei [Stone Hashira]: His tendency to cry uncontrollably leaves too strong an impression. He often starts crying halfway through a conversation. A great monk with a terrifying training method. Personally, I feel he is more like a demon.
On Tengen [Sound Hashira]: His aesthetic sense is completely unbearable, like a walking accessory stand. But he is very easy to get along with and always has all sorts of strange and interesting things on hand.
On Kyojuro [Flame Hashira]: A descendant of the owl family whose appearance has looked, at first glance, unchanged for hundreds of years. Completely impossible to handle. That said, this one's ears don't seem very good.
On Giyu [One of the Water Hashira]: There is no question that he would be more popular if he were mute. He believes whatever people tell him and is a bit simple. I will never forget the terrifying laugh he made while eating simmered salmon with daikon.
On Sabito [One of the Water Hashira]: He really enjoys teasing children. His personality and appearance do not match at all. One of Giyu's translators.
On Obanai [Snake Hashira]: A junior with an extremely severe attitude toward demons. Very talented. I learned quite a few new insults and strange tones of voice from him.
On Sanemi [One of the Wind Hashira]: Tempting. Extremely tempting. I was very satisfied to finally get what I wanted in the end. The taste of Rare Blood makes one's head spin and is addictive. He is, without question, a total little-brother obsessive.
On Yuichiro [One of the Wind Hashira]: Like a bristling kitten. A very cute great-great-great... grandson? He talks like me, and he is reliable in what he does. A child who does not cause worry.
On Muichiro [Mist Hashira]: Also a descendant from who knows how many generations later, but compared to Yuichiro, he is a little too naturally airheaded. Because his talent is too great, he manifested a Mark too, which worries me. I hope he won't come looking for me too soon.
On Makomo [One of the Water Hashira]: Someone with the same bad taste as Sabito. As expected, like attracts like. The first time I wore women's clothing was because she kept begging me. One of Giyu's translators.
On Mitsuri [Love Hashira]: We often eat sweets together. She has a special talent for finding restaurants. Her hair color is very beautiful, and it's hard to imagine it changed later because of what she ate. Because of that, I worked very hard and ate strawberry daifuku for a long time, but it had no effect at all. Also, this girl's appetite is truly terrifying. One meal from her is equal to six of mine.
On Kanae [Flower Hashira]: Her attitude toward demons is far too kind. A slightly scatterbrained young girl who becomes terrifying when she lectures people.
On Shinobu [Insect Hashira]: She gets incredibly prickly when teased. It's extremely interesting. She counts as half an apprentice, especially when she looks down on me while praising that pharmacist from a hundred years ago. It makes me want to laugh so much.
On Tanjiro [One of the people who noticed something different upon meeting him]: An honest child whose conduct and personality are very square and proper. He is very gentle, but every kind of talent in his family is utterly absurd. If possible, I hope he becomes mute like Giyu.
On Zenitsu [One of the people who noticed something different upon meeting him]: The moment I see him, a filthy high-pitched sound starts ringing in my head on its own. A strange person who can fight even while asleep. He barely counts as half-normal, as long as women are not involved.
On Kitaro [Accompanying Kasugai Crow]: A reliable bird. A living map. It's almost impossible to believe he is only a crow. I hope he can improve the excessive chattiness and loud voice.
Harmony with the overall group: 9
