Chapter 278 - Chapter 278 Awkward Brotherhood

"Wronged?" Regulus was stunned. "What do you mean by that?"

"I found out he escaped Azkaban to hunt down someone, PeterPettigrew."

"PeterPettigrew? The little follower who always trailed behind them? Wasn't he killed by Sirius?"

"No, he's still alive and well. Now, it seems there's a lot more to this than meets the eye," Sebastian said slowly. "Based on my deduction, Sirius was not James and Lily's Secret Keeper."

"You mean, they might have secretly switched the Secret Keeper to Peter, and Peter was the actual Secret Keeper?"

"Exactly. And there's a very high probability that this idea came from Sirius. That's why after he was arrested, he didn't argue, didn't resist, and willingly allowed himself to be taken to Azkaban."

Hearing Sebastian's words, Regulus fell silent.

He sat there blankly, the cigarette in his hand flickering, just like his mood.

He had never imagined that the truth could be so convoluted and complex.

He also never thought that Sirius would willingly be imprisoned in Azkaban for over ten years without any defense.

To be honest, his relationship with Sirius had never been close, from childhood to adulthood.

As brothers, they should have been inseparable, but the reality was quite the opposite.

Sirius had detested the concepts of bloodline and family honor instilled by their parents since he was young. Later, after Regulus became a Death Eater, he held even more disdain for his brother.

Regulus was also disappointed in his brother, Sirius.

He felt that, as the eldest son of the House of Black, Sirius should have been the family heir and should have taken on family responsibilities, but he never truly considered the family's well-being—

He was unwilling to uphold the family's traditions and dignity;

Unwilling to consider the family's future and survival;

Nor did he ever worry about the family's inheritance and responsibilities;

He disdained all of these.

Because of this, the two had countless arguments, until they became like strangers.

The clash of ideologies led Sirius to choose to run away from home, placing himself outside the family, completely disregarding the feelings of his mother and father, and the fate of the family.

Sirius believed that freedom and justice were paramount, but he never considered that before he was born, the House of Black had lost the right to choose; before he was born, the House of Black had boarded Lord Voldemort's chariot.

The House of Black simply had no choice.

Sirius's attitude caused the House of Black to incur Lord Voldemort's displeasure, making other pure-blood families eye them covetously, constantly wanting to exploit the House of Black to the bone.

If he were to openly oppose Lord Voldemort again, the House of Black would only face extinction.

Upon realizing Lord Voldemort's true nature, Regulus fell into despair, and at the same time, an envy for Sirius's free and unrestrained spirit arose in his heart.

Seeing the cigarette about to burn his fingers, Regulus snapped out of his memories and extinguished the butt in the ashtray.

He looked at Sebastian, saying with a sigh of regret:

"Even if he was wronged, it was Sirius's own choice, wasn't it?"

"He's treating himself as the culprit who caused the death of his good friend's family. That's why he never defended himself with a single word."

"If he doesn't defend himself, who else would think he was wronged? Who would actively help him dig into the truth of the matter?"

Regulus's voice was slightly agitated: "If he had defended himself with just one sentence, Dumbledore, his friend Lupin, or even I, would have believed him and helped him gather evidence to clear his name."

"It's funny to say, but perhaps in his heart, besides his brother James, no one else is worth trusting."

"Besides his brother James, no one and nothing else matters, right?"

"Hmph—" Regulus sighed deeply, "He wants to catch Peter for revenge now, so let him figure it out himself. I'm too lazy to bother with him."

"Come, come," Regulus said, feigning cheerfulness, "Let's not talk about him. Today, we only talk about work."

"Our Wizard Pictures has completed the filming, editing, and promotion of the first the lord of the rings. The premiere will be held on January 1st. Would you like to attend?"

Wow—

After more than two years, the first the lord of the rings movie is finally about to be released.

It's really not easy!

As the first movie launched by Wizard Pictures, Sebastian and Regulus were counting on the lord of the rings to completely establish Wizard Pictures' reputation.

The company was strong, and the director and actors were no slouches either.

According to Sebastian's understanding, PeterJack had poured a tremendous amount of effort into this movie, it could even be described as painstaking.

He not only meticulously refined every detail but also personally participated in various production stages of the movie.

From script adaptation to scene design, and even sound effects and costume details, Jack personally oversaw everything, striving to restore the world described in the book.

Sebastian had already seen the sample film sent by Regulus and found that the movie's scenes were extremely grand and the production was exquisite, not much different from the movies he had seen in his previous life.

"I won't be attending the premiere," Sebastian grinned, "However, I will definitely take Mia to London to watch it then."

With that, he raised his glass: "Our movie will surely be a global sensation."

After clinking glasses with Regulus, Sebastian instructed: "After the movie's success, remember to simultaneously release various entertainment merchandise."

"Also, our magic amusement park should begin construction at the same time. There's a lot to do, so please put in the effort."

Regulus said with a smile: "You hateful capitalist, you only know how to treat me like a workhorse."

The two talked and laughed, constantly discussing the details of various projects.

As dusk fell, Sebastian slowly rose, preparing to bid farewell to Regulus.

He gathered his belongings and was about to step out the door when Regulus's slightly subdued voice came from behind him.

"Sebastian, wait a moment." Regulus paused, seemingly choosing his words carefully, then continued, "If you have the chance, please help Sirius."

"No matter what, he is still my brother."

His expression was extremely complex, containing both unspoken concern and an undisguised sense of helplessness.

"I know your relationship isn't good, so I won't ask much of you. I just ask that when you see him in danger, you lend him a hand and don't let him die for nothing."

Sebastian patted Regulus's shoulder: "Don't worry, for your sake, I won't let him die."

"By the way, after he's cleared, are you planning to add him back to the family tree?"

"If he's not added back to the family tree, he won't be able to go home, nor will he have any Galleons to spend."

"Let him suffer a bit," Regulus said through gritted teeth, "If he has no money, he can go to work, brew Potions, or become a bounty hunter."

"He's been a prodigal since childhood, it's time he learned to be self-reliant."

"Once he understands what responsibility means and sheds his willful temper, I'll add him back to the family tree."
