Chapter 237 - Chapter 237: Harry's Troubles

Looking at the spirited Malfoy as he left, Harry couldn't help but grin.

Malfoy was still so straightforward.

Troubles came and went quickly.

That's great!

If only his problems were as simple as Malfoy's.

Just as Harry was lost in thought, Sebastian's gaze turned to him.

"Harry, what about you? I can feel your emotions are very muddled, and it seems you have some unusual troubles."

Harry took a deep breath, trying his best to calm himself: "Today on the Hogwarts Express, I was attacked by a Dementor..."

"I know, we received news from Lupin," Sebastian said gently, "Dumbledore was furious; he immediately sent a Howler to Minister for Magic Fudge."

"I heard that you were the only one who stood up and resisted the Dementor at that time. I must say you are very brave."

Hearing the Professor's praise, Harry scratched his head awkwardly.

"I felt extreme danger at the time and remembered what I learned in the Auror Training Class: to strike first."

"However, my magic had no effect on the Dementor. What's more embarrassing is that I even fainted."

"Don't blame yourself. Facing unknown danger, when unable to avoid it, your response was very decisive," Sebastian affirmed.

"It's just that Dementors are a very special existence; ordinary magic has no effect on them. Once you learn how to deal with them, everything will become much simpler."

So that's how it is!

Harry nodded, feeling much better inside.

He hesitated, his voice becoming low and tense.

"Professor, I don't understand, when facing the Dementor, why was I the only one who fainted?"

"And, when I fainted, I heard a woman's voice; she was screaming."

"I asked Hermione and them, and found that only I heard that scream, as if I had hallucinations."

"But that scream was extremely real, and..." Harry paused, "I felt that voice was very familiar."

Harry's breathing quickened slightly.

He didn't know why, but every time he recalled that voice, his chest tightened.

He looked at Sebastian uneasily, hoping he could help him analyze it.

Sebastian's gaze fell on Harry; he pondered for a moment and said thoughtfully.

"Harry, Dementors are dark creatures. They have no eyes, but they can keenly perceive our emotions."

"Their bodies are like a tattered cloak, almost insubstantial, as if just an empty shell."

"The most terrifying thing is their mouth—hidden beneath the cloak, that is the organ they use to suck souls."

Suck souls?!

Harry listened intently, and thinking of the Dementor he encountered on the train, he felt a sense of discomfort.

"They are cold, terrifying presences."

"When Dementors approach, the surrounding air becomes bitingly cold, as if they have taken away all warmth and joy."

"You will feel despair, as if there is nothing left to look forward to in the world."

"That's because Dementors usually feed on others' hope, joy, and happiness, leaving behind depression and despair."

Harry involuntarily gripped the armrest of the chair; the memory of that coldness and suffocating feeling resurfaced, and he couldn't help but shiver.

"You fainted after encountering the Dementor," Sebastian said slowly, his gaze becoming deeper, "That's because you are particularly sensitive to them."

Particularly sensitive?

Why would that be?

Harry looked at Sebastian, his eyes filled with deep confusion.

Sebastian sighed lightly, a hint of pity in his eyes.

"Dementors particularly like to bully those who have experienced great pain and trauma."

"The happiness of these people is the ultimate delicacy for them."

"And you, Harry... you lost your parents at a young age, witnessing them being murdered by Lord Voldemort. Your deep-seated pain and trauma are deeper than many others."

"Due to these reasons," Sebastian continued to explain, "Dementors will be strongly attracted to you."

"They can not only perceive your pain but also make those painful memories resurface, forcing you to relive those darkest moments."

"Your soul was strongly stimulated, and under the body's self-preservation mechanism, you fainted."

Harry's chest suddenly tightened, as if caught by some invisible force.

He closed his eyes, and a green light, a scream, and a woman's cry vaguely appeared in his mind.

"Make me relive the darkest moments..." Harry whispered, his voice trembling slightly.

"So, the woman who screamed, was that my mother?"

Sebastian nodded gently: "Yes, Harry."

"That is the deepest wound in your heart—your mother died to protect you that night, and her scream is deeply etched in your memory and soul."

Hearing Sebastian's affirmation, Harry's heart ached, and he fell into deep sorrow.

Indeed, his guess was correct; that was his mother's voice.

No wonder he felt that voice was familiar.

No wonder that voice contained intense pleading.

Was that his mother pleading with Lord Voldemort to spare his life?

His heart ached so much!

He never wanted to hear his mother's tragic scream at her death again.

After a moment of silence, Harry looked up again, his gaze firmly fixed on Sebastian.

"Professor, I never want to faint again because of seeing a Dementor."

"So, can you teach me how to resist Dementors? Just like Professor Lupin drove away the Dementor on the train."

Sebastian nodded: "That is the only magic that can resist Dementors, a very advanced magic—the Patronus Charm."

"This magic is very complex, so complex that many qualified Wizards encounter difficulties when using it."

Advanced magic?

Very difficult?

Harry opened his mouth, just about to say that he wasn't afraid of any difficulty, when he heard Sebastian continue.

"Given the special circumstances this year, I think it's necessary for all students to learn the Patronus Charm in the Duelling Club."

"Although its learning difficulty is great, I have mastered special teaching techniques."

"I am confident that most students will master the Patronus Charm, so everyone won't have to fear encountering Dementors outside the campus."

"Patronus Charm..." Harry silently repeated the name of the spell.

It seems he could look up relevant information before the Duelling Club training.

He must master this spell as soon as possible, no matter what.

Looking at the troubled Harry, Sebastian took out a bottle of Dreamless Sleep Potion and added a drop to the cola in front of Harry.

"Harry, you've been through too much today; you need to clear your mind and get some good rest."

"Drink a couple sips of cola and go to sleep."

"Good night~~"
