"Double all-out escape… As expected, Hushan Feihong has no intention of letting them compare raw ability."
Seeing the race spin out of control, Air Groove's brow furrowed tight.
"Strategy choice is part of ability," said Symboli Rudolf calmly. "This was a team match from the start. Feihong did nothing wrong. It was Tōjō Hana and Nishizaki Ryū who underestimated her.
"But… mere sleight of hand. Even with all-out escape, at most you erase others' experience advantage. In stamina, strength, and speed, these two objectively trail…"
"And those gaps will become the decisive factors at the end."
Air Groove folded her arms and judged. She knew every Central runner's dossier; she rattled them off like a register:
"Taiki Shuttle's 'Victory Shot' end speed is terrifying—hardly inferior to Maruzensky herself. Top tier finishing kick.
"For last-three 'waves,' 34 seconds flat is already 'strong.' Stardust Illusion's training numbers are usually around 38, even touching 40. Feihong calls her a 'race-type' who underperforms in practice, but still.
"Taiki Shuttle's best last-three? 33.0. Average 34 low."
18.18 m/s.

Huff… huff… huff…
Her chest felt aflame; every breath scorched. Hands and feet flooded with a numbing ache.
Narita Brian felt each swing and step like torture on body and soul.
But she still ran behind Mejiro McQueen, fifth.
The all-out escape had shattered the field twice—at the break and now. Even after she reacted and chased, the leaders would not come back.
Her stamina was nearly gone; finishing would be hard.
She judged her state accurately. And there was no one to blame—she had slighted the front two.
From the start, she'd only watched Taiki Shuttle and McQueen. She was utterly wrong. Two "mere" front-runners had dragged them all into a death run.
And she… had slid deepest.
She paid dearly for her pride—so dearly she almost thought a thought she shouldn't have.
But fatigue would not change. She was indeed near collapse.
…No—this was not the end of fighting!
Even so exhausted, Brian had not done nothing. The tiny gap to McQueen and Taiki Shuttle proved she had not fallen apart.
And now—was the time to show an Uma Musume's guts.
On the next straight—on the next straight—she would hurl every last shred of speed and cut the four ahead to pieces.
If she could just get there, her body would hold. The winner would be me, the starving wolf—
Narita Brian!!!
—Boom!
"What?!"
A brutal footfall snapped her thoughts. A chill ran through her, muscles taut as bowstrings.
Time slowed. She scanned for the source.
They were already in the latter half, the entire seven-horse field scrambled by the all-out escape—yet she saw it like a muzzle flash—
Taiki Shuttle, in third, launching her sprint—now!
In a blink, the muddled air was ripped clean. Taiki Shuttle turned bullet, aimed squarely at the two leaders' backs.
Those firm, confident strides. That steady torso. That little smile…
Impossible!
She could hardly believe it. Taiki Shuttle—her teammate—could still carve a bend like this now?!
Launching here—did she really still have gas?!
It was a shot at victory.
Aimed at Stardust Illusion, yes—but both Narita Brian and Mejiro McQueen felt a phantom impact in their chests.
They grunted, forms wobbling; they could no longer hold that knife-edge. They fell back.
And Taiki Shuttle—had ranged up!
