The West Dragon Island's Xia Ao and his Dragon Armor Army, together with the South Dragon Island's Man Yan and the Barbaric Dragon Army, had already pinned down most of East Dragon Island's fighting force. Amidst this chaos, Qing Yan moved like a specter through the battlefield—an unstoppable force in a realm without opposition.
"Follow me!"
Hei Qing's furious roar echoed as he led the Dragon Guards in a desperate charge. Dozens of dragons soared into the sky, transforming into their true forms—massive beasts whose deafening roars shook heaven and earth. Space itself seemed to freeze, trembling beneath their might.
Yet despite their enormous size, their power paled before Qing Yan. His aura alone eclipsed them all.
The Half Saint's smile didn't fade, though his eyes glinted with killing intent. His tone remained calm and almost courteous as he spoke,
"Hei Qing, do you really think you can stop me? The plan set by the Three Dragon Kings cannot—and will not—fail."
But the dragons didn't retreat. Their golden eyes burned with defiance. Qing Yan shook his head with a sigh, his skeletal right hand slowly rising as terrifying energy gathered in his palm.
"Then let this old man teach you what it means to respect your elders. When an elder speaks—you listen."
"Traitorous scum, you dare call yourself an elder? Die!"
Hei Qing's furious roar split the sky. His dragon body lunged forward, charging at Qing Yan like a living mountain.
Qing Yan's expression didn't change. His palm descended like divine judgment, releasing a tsunami of pure destructive force. The wave-like shockstorm tore through the air layer by layer, crashing upon the dragons below.
Boom!
The blast swept across the battlefield. The mighty Dragon Guards, including Hei Qing, were struck head-on. Indestructible scales shattered under the overwhelming power. Blood and fragments filled the sky as dragons plummeted one after another.
When the dust settled, only Hei Qing still moved—barely. His body was torn and mangled, eyes bloodshot with unyielding rage.
"Qing! Yan! You… deserve death! Roar!"
Qing Yan sneered. "You should be grateful you still draw breath, 9-Star Dou Zun. If this old man truly meant to kill you, you'd already be dust." His tone was cold, dripping with disdain. "Ignorant fool."
Then he vanished.
Space twisted violently, and before Hei Qing could react, pain like fire tore across his back. His massive dragon body convulsed, tumbling helplessly toward the island below.
Behind him, Qing Yan calmly retracted his hand, flicking away the blood from his withered fingers. His face showed not a hint of emotion. Hands clasped behind his back, he strode leisurely toward the depths of East Dragon Island.
"Hehehe… foolish creature. Let's see where that royal-blooded girl is hiding. Hm? Found you."
"Bastard!"
Qi You roared, Dou Qi surging as arcs of energy crackled around him. His robe whipped violently in the wind as he tried to break away to intercept Qing Yan—
But a booming laugh cut across the battlefield.
"Leaving so soon? Don't even think about it! Your opponent is me!"
Xia Ao blocked his path, striking with explosive might. The two clashed again, their combined power shattering the skies and drowning the world in darkness.
"Xia Ao!" Qi You's fury burned bright, killing intent erupting from every pore.
Yet Xia Ao only grinned mockingly, parrying every blow with ease. "Still distracted? Looks like you really don't take me seriously, old man!"
Zhu Li frowned deeply. The situation was spiraling out of control. The East Dragon Island forces were being suppressed on all sides, and he himself was locked in battle against Man Yan and the Barbaric Dragon Army.
"Man Yan! Are you truly unafraid of His Majesty the Dragon Emperor's return? Do you think the Princess came alone?" Zhu Li's voice boomed across the battlefield as he smashed aside a half-dragon soldier, his gaze locked on Man Yan.
His words were not for Man Yan alone—but for all dragons who still wavered.
Man Yan's expression stiffened. For an instant, fear flickered in his eyes. But then he forced a cold smile.
"The Dragon Emperor's strength may be unmatched—but he has vanished for more than ten thousand years. If he hasn't returned by now, he never will. Enough of your delusions, Zhu Li. The Dragon Kings are the rightful rulers of our tribe! They alone can restore the Ancient Void Dragons to their peak!"
He raised his hand high and roared, "Barbaric Dragon Army—kill!"
His words carried conviction, both to himself and his men. The warriors' hesitation vanished, and they surged forward once more, dragging Zhu Li back into the fray.
"Damn it… If only the First and Second Elders had arrived, we wouldn't be forced into such a desperate fight!"
Meanwhile, Qing Yan strolled through East Dragon Island as though walking through an empty world. Aside from Zhu Li, no one remained strong enough to stop him.
"So this is where she's hiding?" he murmured. "Such terrifying power… perhaps the rumors were true after all."
A faint chill glimmered in his eyes. The North Dragon King would never have sent him unless the target truly posed a threat.
"Leave. No one is allowed to enter!"
A cold, clear voice rang out. Qing Lin appeared in a flash of emerald light, her figure graceful yet unyielding. Her eyes gleamed with strange green light—the unmistakable radiance of the Jade Snake Three-Flower Pupils.
Deadly charm intertwined with killing intent, giving her an aura both mesmerizing and terrifying.
Years as the Saintess of the Sky Serpent Mansion had changed her. Not only had her cultivation grown, but her temperament had become firm, calm, and resolute. Acting as the true master in all but name, Qing Lin had long outgrown her former self.
For a heartbeat, Qing Yan hesitated, his expression flickering with momentary distraction. But he quickly recovered, avoiding her gaze as he sneered,
"What an eerie pair of eyes. If this old man is not mistaken, that must be the Jade Snake Three-Flower Pupils, hm?"
"A pity… you can't yet wield its full power."
Before his words even faded, Qing Yan struck first—his withered hand lunging like lightning for her throat.
Qing Lin's face turned cold. She hadn't expected the Half Saint to attack so shamelessly. She instantly retreated, shouting,
"Ancient Heaven Serpent—awaken!"
Against a Half Saint, her strength alone wasn't enough. But the Ancient Heaven Serpent she had fused with—after consuming countless drops of heaven serpent blood—was no weaker than one.
A dense mist of blood erupted around her, churning and twisting until a colossal nine-headed serpent emerged, its body covered in scarlet scales.
Eighteen eyes gleamed with the light of the Jade Snake Three-Flower Pupils.
A year of cultivation in the Dragon Tomb had transformed both Qing Lin and her serpent. Though temporary, the fusion allowed her to wield power approaching the Half Saint realm—a miracle of both her bloodline and her will.
Qing Yan's eyes narrowed. He leapt back, recognizing the creature instantly.
"The Ancient Heaven Serpent… So that species still dares to exist. Don't you know? It was our Ancient Void Dragon Tribe who wiped your kind from this world!"
