"Goodness," Kaija scoffed. "I never imagined your skin was that thick. It's not a love song, genius. Have some damn dignity."
"Shut up, you dirty stealing bitch!" Liisi snapped. "I wrote it for Karl! It was for him! All because of him!"
"Alright, I've had enough of your ridiculous stubbornness," Kaija said, rolling her eyes. "Fine. Keep it. Good luck with it at the festival, yeah? Make sure to thank me later."
With that, she turned and walked toward Building S.
She was done.
Done arguing. Done reasoning. Done wasting her breath on someone who could look her in the eye and claim ownership of a song she hadn't written.
'If she wants it that badly, she can choke on it.'
Seeing Kaija walk away, Karl finally snapped out of his stunned silence.
"Hey, birdie, wait up!" he called.
But Kaija was already climbing the steps into Building S.
