When Kaija arrived at the dance studio the next morning, two boba teas were already occupying her hands.
She immediately handed one to Dani, and the two girls happily sipped away while chatting about absolutely nothing important.
Their peace lasted all of five minutes.
Then Antony's temper finally exploded.
The moment he spotted the drinks, he marched across the studio and kicked both of them out to finish them in the hallway, as though he hadn't personally allowed them to eat breakfast inside the studio before.
The two girls left with matching pouts.
At this point, that part wasn't surprising anymore.
What surprised Antony was something else entirely.
Kaija didn't seem to remember any of it.
Not the sleepy conversation they'd shared in the elevator.
Not the way she'd answered him while half-conscious.
Not even the fact that he'd carried her all the way back to her apartment.
A strange feeling settled heavily in his chest as he returned to his usual corner of the room.
