"What are you doing here?" Kaija asked, raising a brow at the man beside her.
"Work," Antony replied without elaborating.
In the elevator's reflective metal walls, Kaija could see his gaze fixed somewhere beyond the cramped space, focused on a distant point only he could see rather than on her.
"Work?" she pressed, shooting him a skeptical look.
"Work," Antony repeated, his lips barely moving.
Annoyance immediately crept up Kaija's spine. The man was about as conversational as a brick wall.
"You sure you're not in the wrong building?" she muttered. "This is the Production Building, not the Performance Building."
"I'm aware of that."
The short response only deepened her confusion.
Letting out a long sigh, Kaija gave up altogether.
