Tsunade looked at Orochimaru with a complicated expression.
"You are now an S-rank wanted criminal in Konoha. Now that you're back, you can stay… but only in prison."
"I'm just pursuing the truth!" Orochimaru chuckled. "If it weren't for Itsuki, wouldn't you also still be wandering aimlessly?"
"But I will not betray the village!" Tsunade snapped angrily.
Even though she had been away from the village for years, she knew well that Orochimaru had experimented with her grandfather's cells.
Even after the Third Hokage had forbidden it, he still used living people as experimental subjects.

Using the recoil of her strike, Tsunade closed the distance in an instant and drove her fist straight into Orochimaru's face.
"Damn it, she's so fast! And the power—!"
Before Orochimaru could react, the punch landed, sending pain surging through his body.
Before he could even fly away, Tsunade grabbed his legs, yanked him back, and struck him again.
His body stretched like rubber, his head flying dozens of meters away while his legs remained firmly in Tsunade's grip.
"Tch, you really turned yourself into a monster!" Tsunade cursed, swinging him in a wide arc before smashing him into the ground.
Bang!!
The earth cracked apart as dust and debris flew everywhere.
Orochimaru's body shrank back to normal, blood spilling from his mouth in thick streams.
Too violent. Way too violent.
How had this crazy woman become so terrifying?
If she hit him a few more times, he might actually end up in the Pure Land.
"Give up!" Tsunade planted her foot on his back, pinning him down with crushing force.
"I'm not someone you can contend with anymore. If you return and atone for your sins, I won't make things difficult—because we were once fellow Sannin."
"Hehehe…" Orochimaru spat blood and smirked. "I'm curious… how did your strength increase so suddenly? This isn't normal!"
"I know you've lived decadently these past years, your hemophobia never cured… yet now it's gone. I don't believe you were hiding your abilities. Something must have changed recently. Was it Itsuki? He still has secrets I don't know, right?"
Boom!!
Tsunade slammed her fist into him again, grinding him into the ground.
"Itsuki is my Bottom line. Anyone who touches him dies!" Tsunade growled. "Even you, Orochimaru—if you have any evil intentions toward Itsuki, I'll never forgive you!"
After taking her full-powered punch, Orochimaru's breath weakened, his body limp and broken.
Bleeding heavily, he whispered, "After all these years, you still don't see it? This is a cursed world. No matter how hard you struggle, the ending won't change…"
"Just like your brother Nawaki… one day, Itsuki will be the same. And I… I left Konoha to break this curse. Tsunade… I'll be waiting for the day you beg me!"
His voice grew weaker, his life force fading.
But Tsunade felt something was wrong.
A man like Orochimaru wouldn't die so easily.
She grabbed his body—only to find another empty shell!
The real Orochimaru had already shed his skin underground and escaped, even bypassing the barrier.
"Damn it! How dare you trick me!"
Tsunade angrily scattered the ashes of his husk and punched the ground again, carving out another crater.
But her heart was unsettled.
That cursed world… Nawaki… and Itsuki?
What exactly did Orochimaru mean?
She couldn't figure it out.
But one thing was certain—whoever tried to harm Itsuki, she would never forgive them.
[Haruno Sakura: Orochimaru… How could he escape in this situation?]

If Danzo really wanted him dead, he might very well cooperate with Orochimaru.
