I lasted exactly one day on Earth before the Tower started pulling at me again.
It wasn't some grand revelation.
There was no dramatic realization while staring at the sunrise.
No sudden epiphany.
I simply woke up the next morning and knew I couldn't stay.
The feeling sat heavily in my chest while I stared out from Minho and Suyoung's apartment window. Far below, Seoul was already awake. Cars moved through rebuilt streets. Workers hurried toward their jobs. Players entered and exited the city's Tower gate carrying equipment worth more than most houses.
Life continued.
Earth had adapted.
But I couldn't.
Not yet.
Maybe not ever.
Because every hour I spent away from the Tower came with the same thought.
What if the Oracle moved while I wasn't there?
What if they learned I'd left?
What if some arrogant player wandered into a combat zone and got themselves killed because the one thing the Oracle feared wasn't inside the Tower anymore?
The thoughts never stopped.
