"Malvin, don't you think you should be explaining to the council what you mean by presenting such an investigation report?"
Malvin panicked. His gaze shot across the chamber, searching every face, and his heart sank.
This wasn't how it was supposed to go. Adrian had succeeded in turning the situation to his advantage, and the result... he wanted him to explain, to admit his wrongdoing, and then face the council's wrath.
He withdrew his gaze from the chamber and scoffed. "Adrian, you don't get to play those games...."
Adrian's lips curled into a cold smile. "Games? Do you really call that a game? If it's a game to you... then you might as well make it serious. I, Adrian Carter, don't play games with my pack."
Malvin's brow furrowed. "And what is that supposed to mean?"
