The sound of metal colliding against metal rang out, as Dan has raised his ice gauntlets to block his attack right on time. Sizzling sounds came from the point of contact, as the ice was being melted away due to the fire energy in Jeffery's attack. However, although the ice was being melted, it was also being regenerated as Dan poured mana from his relatively large sized mana pool. He didn't even move back half a step.
