Now that the person had been found, Wu Ling was no longer in a hurry.
After sending the Spirit Master who had delivered the urgent letter back with an expedited reply, he led Rose at a leisurely pace from the main hall of Spirit Hall's sacred temple back to his residence.
On the way, Wu Ling asked Rose, "Rose, does Magecraft not have some kind of communication Magecraft? Something like a telephone. Can you see whether you can make a few of those by using Spirit Power as the energy source?"
Rose puffed her cheeks in dissatisfaction. "Original, honestly. You are giving me more work again. I have not finished the first few tasks yet. Is your next request going to be for me to build an entire Age of Gods?"
Wu Ling rubbed Rose's hair, his affection mixed with a trace of coaxing. "The capable should do more work, right? Whether we are talking about the present or the future plan, you are the key among keys, Rose."
Hearing Wu Ling's praise and feeling how much he valued her, Rose lifted her chin proudly. "Fine, fine. I suppose I have no choice. I will agree. Once I can fully reproduce Magecraft with Spirit Power, I should be able to make them."
Seeing Rose agree, Wu Ling tossed the ideas of some robot, lion head, and electricity-user to the back of his mind. An industrial revolution sounded far too troublesome. He would rather calmly become the strongest and crush the God Realm later.
When Wu Ling and Rose returned to his residence, Ghost had been waiting for some time.
"I heard he was found."
"Yes. It is him."
"Good. Before I came, the Pope told me that if the person truly was found, then the credit is yours. Tomorrow morning, I will only be responsible for bringing you there. As for how that person is handled, that will be up to you."
"Whether you recruit him or kill him, the decision is yours."
Wu Ling was not surprised that Bibi Dong had given him such authority.
If Oscar had not appeared, then Wu Ling would not have received that right. If Oscar did appear, it proved that Wu Ling's predictive ability was real. In that case, he was absolutely more important than a food-type innate full Spirit Power talent. Giving Oscar's fate to him was reasonable.
After saying that, Ghost left. It was as if he had come specifically to say that one thing.
Once Ghost was gone, Wu Ling passed by Ember and Azure, checked their cultivation progress, then sat down on another chair in the room.
He picked Rose up and set her on his lap, resting his chin against her shoulder.
"Rose, what do you think would happen if I told Bibi Dong and Lucius Cross the locations of Tang Hao and Tang San? Would they act early and strangle Tang San in the cradle?"
Rose leaned her head against Wu Ling and thought for a moment before rejecting the idea.
"Original, for Bibi Dong, Tang Hao is the reason she was able to complete her revenge. The chance that she would act is very low. Besides, Bibi Dong only became a Titled Sage a few years ago. Even with the Rakshasa God's divine trials, whether she has reached level ninety-five yet is still unknown."
"As for Lucius Cross, he may hate Tang Hao as the enemy who killed his son, but because of his agreement with Tang Chen, the chance that he would act is also very low."
"Do not forget that in the original story, Tang Hao openly used the Clear Sky True Body during the Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament in Spirit City. Are we supposed to believe that Lucius Cross, a level-ninety-nine Ruler, could not sense the Spirit Power of a Titled Sage in the same city?"
"Forget Lucius. Even the Elders above level ninety-five did not come out to interfere. Tang Hao's hammer strike basically smashed Spirit Hall's face into the ground. The damage was limited, but the humiliation was extreme. Yet not one of them appeared. Original, do you believe Lucius had nothing to do with stopping them?"
After hearing Rose's analysis, Wu Ling nodded in deep agreement.
"It seems that no matter the time, I still have to rely on myself."
"As the saying goes, better to cut off one finger than wound all ten. Tomorrow, Oscar will be that one finger."
"According to the original story, Oscar did not join Spirit Hall after his Martial Soul awakening. Instead, Flender took him in, and he joined Shrek Academy. If threats and benefits tomorrow still fail to make him join, then killing him outright will be fine."
Once his plan was settled, Wu Ling's mind cleared. In a good mood, he personally cooked several dishes for Rose.
Wu Ling's three clones had different personalities, but they had all inherited one trait from Wu Ling: they loved good food.
Normally, since Ember and Azure were recalled every night, Wu Ling did not let them eat much. After all, three layers of fullness added together would still make Wu Ling uncomfortable.
But since they were going to meet Oscar tomorrow, Wu Ling decided not to recall them that night. He let them eat freely. As clones, their eating was mostly for pleasure anyway. They would not gain weight or suffer stomach problems.
Of course, later, when Wu Ling felt as if he had gotten heavier, he could only curse under his breath.
The next morning, around eleven, Oscar sat alone in a room. He felt that compared to protection, his current situation was closer to imprisonment.
When he thought of Venice, who had not even been able to force a smile after the awakening yesterday, Oscar did not feel much.
To be honest, his relationship with Venice was not that close. Compared to the other children he barely spoke to, Venice at least counted as someone he could exchange a few words with. But from the look of things now, that friendship would likely end too.
"It does not matter. One friend is just one friend. So what if I have no friends? The important thing is my situation now. Spirit Hall does not seem ready to let me go. They have not even asked for my opinion. Looks like my ordinary life is drifting away from me."
The door opened, and a Spirit Master walked in.
Lunch this early? Oscar thought, turning his head. But the Spirit Master carried no food.
"Come with me, child. A certain lord wants to meet you."
"Mm."
Oscar answered and followed the Spirit Master out of the room. When they passed the awakening room, he saw a group of people waiting outside.
Since it had nothing to do with him, Oscar did not look for long. He followed the Spirit Master into a larger, more spacious room.
The moment Oscar entered, his eyes were drawn to the boy sitting in the central chair.
Black, slightly messy hair. A face shifting away from cuteness and toward sharp good looks. More important was that confident air, as if even the sky collapsing would not shake him.
The Spirit Master who had awakened Oscar yesterday and the Spirit Hall sub-temple master both sat to either side of the boy, yet both were completely suppressed by his presence.
When the boy saw Oscar arrive, he smiled faintly and said, "Oscar. Sausage Martial Soul. Innate full Spirit Power. I will be direct. Do you want to join Spirit Hall?"
Wu Ling had thought he would need threats and incentives. In the very next moment, he heard Oscar's answer.
"I join."
