Chapter 507 - Chapter 507: The Rain of Life

Just then, accompanied by a shrill whistle through the air, a graceful figure dropped from the sky.

The tremendous impact was forced into a single direction, turning into a shockwave that briefly blew the fog apart.

Fleur landed in front of Leonard and tossed her head, sending her high ponytail flying back behind her.

"Please step aside!" she cried. Even facing an enemy like this, Fleur still maintained her elegance, in both bearing and choice of words.

"Fleur, why are you here?" Leonard asked, a little depressed that his chance to show off had been interrupted.

"At a time like this, why are you even talking?" Fleur snapped. "Run!"

Without another word, she grabbed Leonard's hand. "Come on, quickly. Let's go. Leave this to the headmasters and the others."

"Are you sure we should leave it to the headmasters?" Leonard glanced toward the judges' stand.

At that moment, Maxime was staring expectantly at Fleur showing off her strength. Her expression practically had come save me written all over it.

Dumbledore's shield was becoming more and more unstable under the pressure of the dragon's breath. Forget leaving this mess to them. In another moment, they would become the mess themselves.

Just then, a faint fluctuation of magic rippled through the air like rings across a lake and reached Leonard's ear, carrying Grindelwald's voice.

"Give Albus a hand. I'm looking for Voldemort's real body."

No wonder Grindelwald had not appeared even at a moment like this. He had gone to search for Voldemort's true body.

Since the team's main tank had spoken, Leonard might as well help. They would still need Mr. Grindelwald to hold Voldemort back later.

Leonard smiled at Fleur and said, "Go help the headmasters. Look at Madame Maxime. Her eyes are practically sparking."

Only then did Fleur remember that the headmistress who doted on her was also in danger. Her face reddened as she asked, "Then what about you?"

"Me? Of course I'll work with you to save people." Leonard grinned and raised a hand, releasing a silver-white sphere of light.

The sphere flew into the sky and exploded.

In an instant, dark clouds covered the clear sky. Dull thunder rumbled through the clouds, and then great drops of rain, flashing with silver-white light, poured down upon the earth.

The raindrops, filled with the aura of life, seemed to be the natural enemy of that deathly fog. As the rain fell, accompanied by waves of wailing, the fog quietly began to disperse.

Ancient magic was the power Odin had relied on to become an Eternal Wizard. Together with the rain and mist, and the natural suppression of deathly aura by life aura, it actually managed to hold back the invasion of Death God's power for a short time.

As the fog receded, one shrill scream after another dissolved into the air and vanished. At the same time, more than a dozen figures appeared, collapsed on the ground and covered in wounds. Under the drenching rain, they gradually woke up, and the injuries on their bodies rapidly healed.

These were the ruthless fools who had sucked in a breath of the fog the moment it came at them. Each of them had inhaled enough of that death-filled mist to turn into a monster inside the fog.

If not for this life-filled rain, their souls would never have been freed. They would only have become lackeys of the current Death God, Voldemort.

Rain also fell on the dragon. The moment the drops struck its body, they sizzled like sulfuric acid, sending up plumes of white smoke and corroding pit after pit into its flesh.

The dragon let out a wail. Its strange dragonfire had long since been extinguished by the rain.

This rain covered an enormous area, including Hogsmeade Village. It was not only the dragon inside the arena that suffered. Even the dragons outside were not spared.

But unlike the one in the arena, the two dragons outside, the ones hunting the fleeing spectators, did not seem to have been eroded quite so deeply by Death God's power. After being drenched for a while, they actually regained their senses.

The Welsh Green and the Antipodean Opaleye were not naturally violent dragons. They had no interest in humans. Once they regained their reason, they simply beat their wings and tried to flee.

At the same time, the dragon inside the arena let out an enraged roar.

Voldemort was furious. His carefully prepared plan to wipe out everyone else at Hogwarts had been ruined by a single rainstorm, and all because of one student he had never paid any attention to.

And that student's magic could actually affect him this much.

Far away, Voldemort, controlling the dragon, wore a grave expression. He could feel a powerful consciousness searching for him. It was that unfamiliar Eternal Wizard.

The raindrops falling on his body were interfering with his Death God magic to a certain extent, and that was letting the searching consciousness find him more quickly.

Voldemort had made preparations to mislead his pursuer in advance, but even so, being found was only a matter of time.

The plan had already failed. He had not managed to deal with Dumbledore before that Eternal Wizard came after him.

In that case, he would kill that detestable student first.

The dragon under Voldemort's control roared again. By now, half its body had already been corroded by the rain. The rainwater ran through its wounds and dripped directly onto its internal organs, causing it unbearable agony.

Die. Let me die.

The intense pain stirred the dragon's broken, incomplete mind into a death wish, and under Voldemort's guidance, that became a determination to drag Leonard down with it no matter the cost.

Roaring, it charged toward Leonard. The Death God power inside its body condensed and collapsed, ready to explode the instant it made contact with him.

"Run!" From the judges' stand, Maxime let out a heartbroken scream. Silly girl, take your little sweetheart and run!

Was this really the time for romance? This was a matter of escaping with their lives.

Dumbledore had only just taken a moment to catch his breath, but the moment he saw this, he abandoned any thought of resting and immediately raised his wand to cast a rescue spell.

"Protego Totalum. Impedimenta!"

Two spells appeared directly in the dragon's path. But the Death God power blazing from the dragon's body smashed both spells apart, even though they were powerful enough to stop a train. Its speed did not slow in the slightest as it hurtled toward Leonard.

"Leonard, run. I'll hold it back." Fleur, whose real body was not here, wanted to use the Living Wood Vine body to stop the dragon and let Leonard escape.

"Don't be stupid. This is Death God's power. Even if the Living Wood Vine isn't your real body, if this power kills it, your real body will die too," Leonard said, looking at Fleur.

Fleur's hand trembled slightly, but she quickly made up her mind.

"Run!"

She shoved at Leonard, trying to make him flee, but Leonard caught her backhandedly instead.

The tremendous strength of the Living Wood Vine body had absolutely no effect on him. His feet were planted like iron nails hammered into the ground.

"It's not time to run yet." Leonard patted Fleur on the head. "Leave it to me."

This torrential rain covering Hogwarts and the surrounding area had never been meant solely to wash away Death God's power.

In the next instant, emerald light burst forth, and a forest rose across the entire region.
