Chapter 483 - Chapter 483: Harris, the Guard Raven

At Leonard's words, Harris Raymons pecked at his feathers and said nothing.

He was not an idiot. The World Tree, ancient magic, and the new tree right beside him, openly radiating the aura of the World Tree.

Those things together were more than enough for Harris Raymons to connect Leonard and Odin.

Add in the fact that Leonard had saved him and then brought him straight to Dumbledore. If Harris Raymons still could not piece something together from that, then he had no business working intelligence.

Seeing that Harris Raymons did not answer, Leonard smiled and went on, "I'm a little curious. Why did you do that?"

Harris Raymons had barely managed to escape Odin with his life. Anyone with half a brain should have run as far away as possible at a time like this, hiding from all trouble.

But Harris Raymons had done the opposite. He had gone along with Leonard's intentions, stirred up Dumbledore's hatred, and directed Dumbledore's attention toward Odin.

After all, in Odin's eyes, both Dumbledore and Harris Raymons were small fry. Odin would not go out of his way to deal with them, so the two of them could actually have gone on living in peace.

"Why?" Harris Raymons glanced at Leonard. "Because if I don't tell Professor Dumbledore about this, then you're dead for sure, aren't you?"

"Not that dramatic, but it would definitely be troublesome." Leonard smiled. "Odin's strength is beyond what I can deal with right now. I need outside help."

"Well, there you have it. Why ask so many questions?" Harris Raymons finished tidying his feathers, then hopped onto a nearby tree to deal with his bodily needs.

"And you?" Leonard pressed. "What do you get out of this?"

"You're so paranoid you have to dig into even this?" Harris Raymons said irritably.

"Paranoid?" Leonard laughed. "I don't need to be paranoid about you. You're too weak."

"Tsk, that's arrogant as hell, but I like it." Harris Raymons hopped in place. "Fine. The truth is, I'm just not willing to accept it."

"Not willing to accept what?"

"I'm not willing to let that bastard take Teacher's body." Harris Raymons's voice turned vicious. "I want revenge, but I also understand I'm not his match. Dumbledore isn't either. The only person with both the ability and the motive is you."

Harris Raymons lowered his head to look at Leonard, then glanced at the towering World Tree.

"If you die, or if Odin captures you, then no one will be left to avenge Teacher."

"So I'll cooperate with you and tell Dumbledore about Odin. That's the only way to buy you time."

Harris Raymons smiled. "You must have some trick up your sleeve, right? Otherwise you wouldn't be this calm. You're not Odin's match, and neither is Dumbledore. Can you tell me what your trump card is?"

"If it could be casually told to other people, it wouldn't be a trump card." A trace of mischief flashed through Leonard's eyes. "But I can tell you Dumbledore's trump card."

"Dumbledore's trump card?" Harris Raymons froze, his feathered face full of shock. "That's impossible. There was nothing in the intelligence about Dumbledore having some absurdly powerful force. At most, just the Elder Wand in his hand..."

"It's not his own power." Leonard shook his head. "Here's a hint. That power doesn't belong to him."

"Not his own? Then is it some outside force?" Harris Raymons scratched his head with a wing and still could not make sense of it after thinking for a long time.

Even if you beat him to death, he would never guess that Leonard meant a powerful external ally. He thought Leonard was talking about some mysterious magic Dumbledore had mastered, something even Raven knew nothing about.

Leonard watched Harris Raymons sink into thought, amused himself for a moment, then suddenly asked, "By the way, you probably don't have anywhere to go this summer, right? Then help me watch the house."

"Wait, you're leaving?" Harris Raymons was startled. "What are you planning to do?"

"Go enjoy summer vacation, obviously." Leonard looked at Harris Raymons as if he were an idiot. "School's been exhausting me to death. Am I not allowed to rest?"

"You're still studying even at a time like this?" Harris Raymons was utterly astonished.

"Yeah. I even signed up for every elective. Did I brag about it?" Even thinking about it now made Leonard feel tired.

Now that the Time-Turner had fused with the World Tree, Leonard could directly project a clone to attend class in his place, but that was even more exhausting than going himself.

More importantly, he still had to deal with the residue left behind by those temporary clones. Just thinking about it was tiring.

And who knew when a plant capable of stably carrying his consciousness would finally appear? Future him had not even left him a hint.

"You're steadier than I imagined." Harris Raymons sighed. "Fine. I'll help you guard the World Tree. No matter what, this thing's existence is tied pretty closely to my own life. But I promised Dumbledore I'd help him find Voldemort..."

Harris Raymons's current body was also just a raven formed from Rune letters. If something happened to the World Tree, he would not die, but he would definitely be affected.

"Voldemort's probably still in Albania waiting for his chance." Leonard waved a hand dismissively. "Besides, when I say I want you watching the tree, I mean I want you keeping an eye on other people so they don't run over here and get themselves killed. Aside from Eternal Wizards, nobody can harm a single hair on the World Tree."

"..." Harris Raymons fell silent for several seconds. He had not expected that he did not even count as security. At best, he was just a doorman.

A doorman crow.

Whatever else, he was still a wizard who had mastered ancient magic, even if he no longer had a human body and was now stuck living in a crow's.

Leonard paid no attention to Harris Raymons's complicated thoughts. He waved at him, turned, and Apparated away.

Leonard returned to the Hufflepuff common room. The moment he walked in, he heard someone call out to him.

"Leonard, you've got a letter," Ernie shouted.

"A letter?" Leonard was puzzled. Letters were usually delivered straight to the recipient, weren't they? Why would one be sent to the dormitory?

"Yeah, and a huge package came with it. Three owls delivered it together. Quite a sight, really," Ernie said.

No wonder. So it was something big. That really would not have been suitable for direct delivery, so the fairly intelligent owls had chosen to bring it straight to the dormitory instead.

Owls really were a wizard's best friends.

Leonard returned to the dormitory and, sure enough, saw a large package standing in the corner.

It was wrapped up so tightly there was no way to tell what was inside.

Leonard walked over, picked up the letter attached to it, and checked the sender.
