A terrifying surge of magic burst out from both of them!
Lying weakly on the ground, Rhya looked up at Yuno, whose whole body was now glowing green. He gasped,"His mana's overflowing so much it's turning everything around him into wind… That's Licht's child inside him!"
Then his gaze shifted to Asta, whose entire body was surrounded by a dark, ominous aura."And that one… his anti-magic is spilling out, erasing all the magic nearby!"
The demon muttered to itself,"That power… is resonating with mine?"
"Word Soul Magic—Blade Storm!!"
In an instant, countless blades filled the sky.
Yuno and Asta exchanged a glance and vanished, transforming into streaks of green and black light.
They shot into the air, and to everyone's shock, unleashed a joint spell—a white tornado wrapped in black anti-magic spiraling upward, crashing straight into the storm of blades above!
Mimosa stared up, whispering,"Yuno's handling the real blades… and Asta's blocking the magic ones…""With both their powers combined, they're stopping everything!"
Asta and Yuno roared together,"If it's you and me—then we can definitely beat him!"
The two charged at the demon like twin comets, piercing straight through its body!
But the demon only grinned wickedly."Word Soul Magic—Heal."
Before their eyes, the wounds closed at an impossible speed.
Yuno's eyes widened. "What the hell?!"Asta looked just as shocked. "He can do that?!"
The demon laughed."To think you actually managed to hurt me. Impressive.""Blessed by elven magic…""Yet that same power—residing within the five-leaf grimoire—was supposed to be mine!"
He smirked at Asta's grimoire."I don't know which demon you belong to… but I'll let you keep that grimoire for now."
Then his gaze shifted to Patry's four-leaf light grimoire—its leaves had turned completely black.
"When the owner of a four-leaf grimoire falls into utter despair… a five-leaf grimoire is born."
"With that blackened grimoire complete, I can finally descend into this world—in my true demonic form!"
"Five hundred years ago, before the first despair-born grimoire appeared, everything was going perfectly…""Until the very last moment—someone resisted."
"So this time, through forbidden reincarnation magic, I mixed malice directly into their souls…""To make it easier to steal their will."

The demon grasped the now pitch-black grimoire, and Patry's body was completely swallowed by the dark magic.
Asta glared furiously at the cold, merciless demon."You bastard—I'll never forgive you!"
The demon sneered."Too bad. I'm not your opponent."
He leaned toward Patry and whispered,"Destroy.""Let hatred and despair consume you.""Fall completely, spirit of the elves…""Become a Dark Elf!"
Patry's eyes snapped open—his face turned jet black, his eyes darker than ink.
"Light Magic—Sword of Conviction!!"
The sky instantly filled with black blades of light, all raining down on Asta and Yuno!
They dodged wildly as the surroundings were blown apart.
Yuno's shoulder was grazed, his clothes shredded."Those black lights… they're so fast!""Even with my mana zone, I can't dodge them all!"
A blast sent Asta crashing into a wall."Asta! You still alive?!" Yuno shouted.
Asta burst out of the debris, coughing."Of course I am, you jerk!"
"Man, the number and power of those things are insane!""He's on a whole different level!""If my anti-magic hadn't eaten some of that, I'd be dead already!""Damn it—he's gotten way too strong!"
Asta narrowed his eyes, sensing Patry's presence."I… can't feel any life from him at all."
The demon chuckled."That's because he's just a hollow corpse now.""He's merely acting out the remnants of his grimoire's magic.""So go ahead—suffer all you like."
He looked upward."The exit's above, right?"
Rising slowly, the demon floated toward the ceiling."Well then, I'll be taking my leave.""Farewell, everyone."
Asta yelled,"Hey! Get back here, coward!"
But before he could move, Patry appeared before him, a black sword in hand, and slashed down!
Asta barely managed to block with his own blade—
BOOM!
The impact threw him across the air from the shockwave alone!
Patry followed up instantly, chasing Asta through the air. Their blades clashed again and again, black sparks bursting each time their swords met.
The two exchanged over a dozen furious strikes—Asta falling back each time—until a sharp wind blade suddenly sliced between them, forcing them apart.
Patry turned toward the source—it was Yuno, launching a counterattack!
Patry roared and shot forward like a cannonball. Yuno flicked his fingers, and a massive tornado rose up to block him.
But with a single swing of his black sword, Patry's dark blade aura shattered the storm apart!
Yuno stared, stunned, at the dark elf hovering above.
Then Patry's sword twisted, transforming into a long, serpentine whip of black energy that lashed toward Yuno!
Yuno darted through the air, dodging the whip's strikes one after another.
Suddenly, the whip morphed back into dozens of black swords, lunging straight at him!Yuno twisted midair, barely avoiding each one with incredible speed.
Asta's anti-magic surged again. He swung his black sword, its power rippling outward as he charged at Patry.
Patry spun and met him head-on—his black light blade clashing against Asta's anti-magic sword.
The explosion of magic shattered the buildings around them, shockwaves tearing the walls apart.
