At night, in the capital of the Fortress of Freedom, the prosperous Valerian City, lights were everywhere, not far from the towering base of the Fourteen Fire Peaks.
The volcanic peaks here were different from ordinary volcanoes. Ordinary volcanoes fluctuate between eruption and calm, but the Fourteen Fire Peaks were particularly unique.
Many places in these Fire Peak Mountains seemed forever shrouded in unquenchable flames, yet they did not erupt, as if some magical force had altered these ever-burning peaks.
Even merely standing several miles away at the mountain's base, one could still feel the heat from those volcanoes ceaselessly gushing from the earth, bringing warmth and magic power to the world.
