Aynur Hoshur
Conrad can understand the sudden shift in Aynur's emotion. Being in hiding for more than two thousand years, she is still in a heightened sense of paranoia. He quickly explains, hoping to put her back at ease. "You are definitely not trapped in an illusion array. I can somehow understand how you feel. Things are way beyond your wildest imagination. If I didn't have my master explaining things to me after I got back, I might be equally suspicious as well after hearing so many shocking revelations."
"Tell you what, your priority now is make yourself comfortable. Anything else can take a back seat. You don't have to reveal or do anything until you meet your master. She is currently in another world and should be back by next week. Let's just say your master is right in the midst of doing something that should be nearly impossible in the past. It is one very complicated subject and I am more than happy to let your master explaining what she has been doing in another world. For now, do you want to meet the Menon clan? Will that help to ease some of your worries?"
"I would like to meet the Menon clan. I have been worrying about them ever since their clan got besieged. For now, can you clarify on Earthlings' cultivation talent? Don't leave me hanging now that you have said something so unbelievable." Aynur has to satisfy her curiosity after hearing the most bizarre revelations Conrad has said up until now.
"Right, Earthlings' cultivation talent. Even I found it unbelievable when my master first told me about it. As a matter of fact, I actually went and witness it first hand when the sect welcomes another batch of new sect disciples from Earth. Based on the statistic the sect has compiled, less than five percent of Earthling has grade seven cultivation and that is the worst as they may come. We have never encountered any grade eight talent to-date. Majority of them has cultivation talent ranging between grade six to grade three. As for those with grade two or grade one talent, they made up twenty percent of the whole talent pool. That's not even the most unbelievable part. Do you know how many Earth grade talent we have discovered so far? Five and we have only recruited less than a million Earthling to date. The sect is quite confident that somewhere hidden within Earth's eight billion population, there is at least one Divine grade talent."
Aynur is shocked hearing what Conrad has revealed. Those numbers if proven to be true, the sect's crisis is over and it is just a matter of time before it has the martial prowess to protect itself again. It is no wonder that Conrad is so full of positive vibe, he has none of the existential crisis that has been burdening her. Each Earth grade talent means a future King realm expert. Even if Aynur use the most conservative estimate, Earth might have tens of thousands Earth grade talent ready to be recruited. Let's say the sect only managed to recruit ten thousand Earth grade talent from Earth, the future potential is just downright scary. A pessimist might argue that not all talented cultivators managed to live up to their full potential but even if half of the ten thousand Earth talents made it to become a King realm expert, that's five thousand King realm expert. Five thousand!
Even when the sect is at its most glorious, it has less than a hundred king realm experts. An emperor realm expert might be powerful but even they wouldn't survive being mobbed by thousands of king realm experts. What's more, some of those five thousand king realm experts are bound to reached the pinnacle of cultivation. The sect sample size might be small but an emperor realm expert usually emerges out of every two hundred to three hundred king realm experts.
Aynur can say that will normally translate into at least twenty emperor realm experts. That will be another unprecedented milestone. Prior to the sect crisis, the sect has four emperor realm experts. Just four emperor realm experts have made Immortal Ascension Pavillion the undisputed merchant sect in the cultivation world and one of the most powerful cultivation organizations in history. With twenty emperor realm experts, even the combined alliance of the ten most powerful cultivation organization in the cultivation world might not be able to defeat the sect. Her estimation didn't even take into account the Divine grade talents that Conrad claim to exists somewhere on Earth.
At the same time, Aynur couldn't discount the rest of the grade one and grade two talent on Earth. Given the statistics, there will be more than a billion such cultivators from Earth in the future. The odds of reaching the king realm and emperor realm are much lower for them but when there are more than a billion cultivators with such talent, the sect will still see tens of thousands of king realm experts and more than a hundred emperor realm experts.
The numbers are scary as hell. Aynur estimates there are currently less than a million grade one and grade two talent in the entire cultivation world right now. The future might still be far away, but the existence of Earth means the sect's future is limitless. Before she can continue fantasizing about the sect's glorious future, her rationality sets.
Conrad interjects the moment he notices Aynur's excitement begin to mellow down. "You finally realize there is no way we can monopolize all of Earth's talent, don't you? We should be satisfied with the gains obtained from discovering Earth. Take the win. The sect's crisis is finally over. Thousands of years down the road, not only will the sect survive, we will even exceed our past glory. We no longer need to worry that the sect sinks into oblivion, forgotten by future cultivators. The sect's headquarter becomes a legacy site future cultivators seek opportunity and treasure."
"Earth has many countries and these countries are growing stronger by the month. Give them another decade and most of these countries will have grown strong enough that they will no longer need to rely on the sect. These countries might not have grown to a point that they can fend of those powerful organizations from the immortal realm but placed among other sects and countries in the lower realm, these Earth countries will not be at a disadvantage. The weaponries they have introduced to the lower realm so far will change the whole dynamics between mortals and cultivators."
"Wait, I can understand the part about us not being able to monopolize Earth cultivators. Before that, I want to clarify your last sentence. I think just heard another bombshell. Seriously, how many more surprises are you going to reveal today? If I understand you correctly, are you saying Earthlings has invented weapons that even a mortal can use to threaten a cultivator? That will be a true game changer." Aynur is becoming numb to the continuous number of shocking revelations Conrad reveals in the middle of a conversation as if it is all in a day's life.
The cultivation world has no lack of powerful weaponries that allows a much weaker cultivator to defeat their betters. Among the rarest of such weapons, even a weak first major realm cultivator can injure a king realm expert with it. However, all these powerful weapons need to be activated by spirit energy. That means at the bare minimum, only a cultivator can use them.
Throughout history, it has been impossible for mortals to defeat a cultivator the moment they have reached the second major realm. Even when it comes cultivator in the first major realm, mortals will still have to rely on either an ambush or overwhelming force. As for the latter, the mortals will have to be prepared for pyrrhic victory for attempting it in the first place.
"Yes, you hear me right. Weaponries even mortals can use to threaten cultivators. Gauss gatling guns, runic autocannon, runic hypersonic missiles, the choice of weaponries is not small. Right now, Earthling latest weaponries can already threaten the life of a third major realm cultivator. The shocking part, they are just getting started. Anyway, I can share more on this topic later and even show you some of those weaponries. It's important for me to finish what I have to say about Earth cultivators going independent." Conrad says.
"The countries on Earth stop relying on our sect and going independent isn't really something the sect has to worry about. We are the greatest merchant sect out there. Building strong ties with countries has always been one of the sect's strong points. What we truly need to worry about is human nature. The sect predicts that we can only coverup the existence of Earth from the rest of the cultivation world for two to three decades at most. As more Earthlings arrive on Eldorin, it is just a matter of time someone go rogue. Earth has some pretty dubious characters there and they will never achieve much practicing orthodox immortal pathways. The chances of them going over to deviant sects is guaranteed to happen the moment they realize they have no future cultivating orthodox immortal pathways. The secret will be pretty much be out in the open the moment the deviant sects found out. So, the sect needs to rebuild as fast as it can before the inevitable happens." Their conversation continues as the car journey towards the city of Oryn.
Conrad ended up spending days introducing all the major novelties and development in the sect, helping Aynur familiarizing herself to an all too foreign Immortal Ascension Pavillion. Before he manages to cover even half the subjects, Pavilion Master Bai returns. He is more than happy to pass on the task of debriefing Aynur to her own master. The sect rebuilding effort are in full force and there are too many task that needs a key disciple like him to take charge off.
