It was that same familiar frozen space, but when Lancer saw his mission settlement this time, his entire face contorted.

"Screw you! Are you trying to start a 'Stallion Series' for me?!"

Lancer felt deeply wronged. Back when he was a ghoul investigator for the CCG, he had indeed made moves on Ryoko and Akira. Being called a 'stallion' then was annoying, but he grudgingly accepted it. But... over the past year, he hadn't done anything at all!

Why! Just why!!

Filled with intense frustration, Lancer clicked the 'Details' button and read through every description thoroughly. As he read, the twitch in the corner of his mouth grew more pronounced.

'A Red Oni came from the Great Tang; he defeated the Oni Kings, took the Sage of Yokai, and abducted the Celestial. At that time, goddesses vanished. Legend says there is a paradise within the Sea of Trees—his harem—filled with wives, older sisters, lolis, beast-girls, ghosts, hag... countless in number. It is called————Gensokyo.'

—Excerpt from Record of My Uncle the Red Oni by Abe no Nakamaro

"MMP! Which bastard is spreading these rumors!!"

Lancer didn't recall knowing this person at all. He checked the man's profile—alright, now he knew.

'Father: Funamori. Rank: Vice-Minister of Central Affairs, Senpai Fifth Rank Upper.'

Though he had no hard evidence, Lancer was almost certain this was the nephew of that bastard Funamori!

Lancer decided right then: the next time he went back, he was going to drink that bastard under the table until he died!!

Despite Lancer constant grumbling about Funamori ruining his reputation, it did prove one thing indirectly: Yakumo Yukari had indeed succeeded.

'Gensokyo' was eventually established. He supposed the letter he left behind must have saved Yukari some time.

"Forget it. Getting 10 points of stamina would take over a year of training anyway. It's just a rumor; I'll just ignore it."

Talking to himself, Lancer shifted his attention to the other rewards. According to the system's description, this "Legend" had already become an established fact; there was no point in obsessing over it anymore.

'If all else fails, I'll just use a different alias next time.'

He had already received the rewards for 'The Four Oni Kings' in advance. The reward for 'Toukiden,' the 'Soul-Attracting Incense,' was quite interesting. The '???' meant the quantity was infinite, though only one could be lit at a time. The effect was also peculiar:

'Attracts monsters and spirits and forces them to manifest. Spirit-type entities cannot use spiritualization.'

To put it simply, it was a wide-range taunt plus a seal on the stealth abilities of spirit-type enemies. This was incredibly practical for Lancer, as he was least skilled at dealing with those types of foes.

The title 'Lord of Pandemonium' was a bit subtle—it increased his majesty and initial favorability with Yokai-type beings. Lancer suspected that if he met an 'Oni,' the combined effects of 'Lord of Pandemonium' and 'The Four Oni Kings' might push his initial favorability straight to 'Friendly.'

The most surprising item was the 'Celestial's Robe of Feathers.' Lancer had seen Houraisan Kaguya use it before; its effect allowed one to float in the air. As expected, it worked for Lancer too, but the thought of flying through the sky with a feathery robe trailing behind him made him shudder. The image... was a bit too "majestic" for comfort.

Fortunately, his experiments showed it worked as long as he carried it; he didn't necessarily have to wear it. Otherwise, he feared he might make his opponents die of laughter mid-battle. He couldn't help but wonder if it was his imagination, but the robe seemed to carry a strange fragrance.

'The Chicken Leg Staff I got before was a replica... this... probably is too, right?'

'Fujiwara no Mokou's Blessing' was exactly as expected: it enhanced his fire resistance and allowed him to use 'Nirvana' once every 30 days. This would heal all wounds and clear all debuffs. The cooldown was long, but it was undoubtedly broken.

Finally, the 'Vow of Crimson.' The reward was a pair of red sake cups—one large, one small. It allowed one to complete a vow by drinking sake. It was strange, but the effect was solid.

However, while those were visible power-ups, what truly satisfied Lancer was that his body had been repaired without side effects thanks to the Phoenix's help. Furthermore, his Gáe Bolg had changed; it had evolved from a 'Mass-Production Model' toward a 'Commander Type.'

After organizing his gains and steadying his mind, Lancer took a deep breath and had a good sleep. He had been worried about Tsukuyomi coming to stir up trouble, so he hadn't been able to rest properly except at Kaguya's place. He had been on high alert, especially on the final night. As it turned out, it was all talk and no action; Tsukuyomi never showed up before he left.

He didn't know how many hours he slept, but when Lancer stood up, his surroundings were as stagnant as ever.

Shaking his head helplessly, he opened the system to continue his 'journey.'

During this last trip, he had encountered beings capable of seeing through his status as an 'Outworlder.' What did that mean? It meant that in other worlds, there might be similar existences—perhaps even people who could travel between worlds like he did. Maybe... he would eventually have the chance to master that ability himself.

Though Lancer never said it aloud, he did want to return to his 'hometown.' Unlike when he first started, however, he was now more ambitious. He didn't just want to go back alone; he wanted to bring his loved ones with him.

He could already imagine the look of shock on his parents' faces when he brought home several daughters-in-law.

In a good mood, Lancer began his 'journey' once more.

When he opened his eyes, he saw a city in flames.

「Bonus Dungeon Main Quest: None. Duration: 7 Days」

Seeing that familiar 'Seven Days,' Lancer instinctively felt a bad premonition...
