Synopsis
When eternity grows dull, gods gamble with fate. Three ancient deities, tired of their endless existence, strike a dangerous bet. Each will choose one mortal, bless them with a fragment of divine power, and set them loose upon the world. These chosen ones, known as Miracles, are unaware they are pieces in a game far larger than themselves. Each god has a vision of how the world should change, and a secret hope for how their Miracle will shape it. Some seek chaos, others a glorious victory, and some simply wish to be surprised. As the Miracles awaken to their strange powers, their lives begin to twist and unravel. Destiny, free will, and divine manipulation collide. The world begins to shift, sometimes subtly, sometimes violently, and in the end. Only one will claim the world.

Chapter 1 - Prelude: Game Set and Ready

Boredom, that is the sole driving force in most actions the gods take. They are bored with their endless, repetitive lives. It was constantly creating this, destroying that. Flood this, burn that. It was the repetition of these very actions that seemed to never change for many millennia, which caused the greatest board game in all of god-kind.

In the Darkness Corridor, a hall in which is said that the first beam of light in the universe traveled. A lone door stood at the end, seemingly miniscule in size. But as you got further down the long corridor, it slowly got larger and larger until it stood to the height of three men. The door arched and featured a typical medieval design, crafted simply from wood and steel. As they creaked open with heavy resistance, the doors revealed a room that seemed to have no walls and no end. However, a cold stone floor existed, but it ended at a certain point, vanishing into the darkness, and in the middle stood a board without a coherent shape, lit only by an unknown light from above. The board seized on a hexagonal shape, and out from the infinite shadows of the dark room stepped three beings, each walking with ethereal steps that glided across the stone floor and only stopping when they each reached three separate corners of the board. One of the ethereal figures reached up to their head, reaching into their mouth and pulled out something that resembled dice, only with many more sides than normal. As their hand rolled the dice through the air, it landed on the board with a large BOOM that rippled through the infinite room. The board, as if on cue of the dice landing on it, started to take shape, forming the world of Earth as we know it. The figure who threw the dice suddenly spoke up with a booming yet conniving voice and spoke four words that carried the fate of the world in them.
