~Annalyn POV~
The ghost did not attack. It stood at the bottom of the stairs in Camila's body and looked at all of us with that particular stillness that had no human quality left in it, and for a long moment nobody moved.
Ezra broke it first.
"Everyone out," he said. "Now. Take it upstairs and contain it in the north corridor. Go."
Matteo looked at me. I looked at Ezra.
"Go," Ezra said again, directly to me this time. "The ritual cannot complete with that presence in the room. The entity will pull toward it and the sequence will fracture. I need you focused and I need this space clear."
Lucas was already moving. Matteo followed, and Calix went last, putting himself physically between the ghost and the stairwell long enough for the others to get past. The ghost watched all of it without moving, which was somehow worse than if it had fought them.
When the door closed at the top of the stairs, it was only Ezra and me.
