"First," she said, her tone shifting slightly, "you remain here."
Mira's head lifted sharply. "Mistress?"
"You now have a new task," Seraphielle continued, "and it is not secondary to anything else we will do tonight. In fact, it is the most important."
Mira's brows tightened. "What task?"
Seraphielle turned back toward the barrier, her attention already half submerged in the structure before them. "A counterspell."
The words struck Mira immediately. Her expression changed in an instant.
"Mistress....a Counterspell...against that?" She pointed at the invincible barrier. "Mistress, you know I can't—"
"Listen carefully," Seraphielle interrupted, her voice firm but not raised.
Mira fell silent.
"The barrier can be broken. Yes it's a powerful barrier but it's not absolute. There's always a flaw." Seraphielle said evenly. "Everything made by magic can be undone by magic."
