(The following days passed with quiet warmth inside the apartment. Despite the limited space and the large number of people, the atmosphere was filled with laughter and endless conversation. Little by little, Ahmed's family began to adapt to life in Japan, while Misaki, Honoka, and Yoshika grew accustomed to having so many people around them.)
One evening…
Everyone was sitting after dinner, exchanging stories about Yemen and Japan.
Misaki talked about her school.
Yoshika recounted some funny situations that happened to her at school.
As for Honoka, she was more comfortable than before, participating in the conversation and smiling every now and then.
Ahmed's father watched the scene with a calm smile.
Then, he turned to his son and said in Arabic:
Ahmed's Father: "Ahmed... these people were by your side when you were all alone here, weren't they?"
Ahmed: "Yes, Father."
Ahmed's Father: "And Misaki's family also helped you a lot?"
Ahmed: "Absolutely. They have been kind to me since the very first day."
(Ahmed's father nods in admiration.)
Ahmed's Father: "Then we must thank them as they deserve."
(Ahmed's mother immediately agrees.)
Ahmed's Mother: "That's right. We want to get to know them and repay some of that kindness."
(Ahmed smiles as he sees his parents' sincere desire.)
Ahmed: "I think they would be happy with that."
One of Ahmed's brothers: "And we also want to see what Misaki's family looks like outside of video calls!"
(Everyone laughs.)
Ahmed's father looks toward Misaki, Honoka, and Yoshika sitting on the other side of the room.
Then he says with a smile:
Ahmed's Father: "They have become a part of our lives now. It would be wonderful to get to know their families as well."
(Ahmed feels a warmth in his heart as he hears these words.)
Just a few months ago…
He was alone in a foreign country.
But now…
The two families are drawing closer and closer to one another.
Ahmed stands up after the conversation ends.
He heads toward the window, reflecting on the city lights.
Then he turns to Misaki, who was helping Yoshika organize some books.
Ahmed (smiling): "It seems I have a new mission."
(Misaki looks at him with surprise.)
Ahmed: "My family wants to meet your family."
(Misaki's eyes suddenly widen.)
