Chapter 40 - Chapter 40 – The Story of Detective Beni

Then Evil Monster charged at Death Monster and punched him in the face.

— Take that, idiot! Ha ha ha!

Death Monster replied:

— Oh yeah? Then take this: Mortuy!

Mortuy was a power that caused brain damage, brought agony throughout the body, and led its victim toward death.

Evil Monster dodged the attack and tried to kick Death Monster in the face. However, Death Monster avoided the kick and punched Evil Monster in the stomach.

Meanwhile, Holmes was walking through the Hall of Champion Detectives when the Monster of Nonsense appeared before him.

— Well, well... so you're Holmes. Ha ha!

Holmes frowned.

— What do you want?

The Monster of Nonsense replied:

— Well, I wanted to tell you something, if you're willing to listen.

— Go ahead. What is it?

The Monster of Nonsense lowered his voice.

— You know this whole Detectives vs. Monsters tournament? It's all a lie. The monsters created it to wipe out the detectives more quickly.

Holmes looked shocked.

— What? So this whole thing is just a trap to destroy us?

— Yes. The monsters know there are powerful races out there. In the end, they want to eliminate all of you, take control of the Earth, and place everything in their own hands. That's what they want.

The Monster of Nonsense paused before continuing:

— But I only want one thing. Take the treasure and leave. Go toward your fate and never come back. I'm only trying to help.

Holmes shook his head.

— No. I'm staying here, and I'm going to save the detectives.

The Monster of Nonsense sighed.

— Fine, Holmes. If you won't leave, then take this! Let Evil Nonsense emerge from this staff!

Holmes quickly drew his Vijika Sword and struck the Monster of Nonsense's staff.

The Vijika Sword was a weapon capable of canceling any attack that touched it.

The Monster of Nonsense stared in surprise.

— What kind of sword is that? It canceled my attack!

— That's exactly what it does.

said Holmes.

Without another word, the Monster of Nonsense picked up his staff and walked away.

Back in the arena, the Storm Monster unleashed his attack.

— Evil Storm!

The attack rushed toward Detective Beni.

Beni responded:

— Then take this! Vikavi Power!

Vikavi Power was a terrifying ability that left the target's body in a critical condition.

The Leader of the Monsters watched the battle and said:

— It looks like they're doing pretty well.

God nodded.

— I'm impressed by that detective, Beni. He has incredible powers.

The Leader of the Monsters replied:

— Yes. He has always challenged death itself.

The Story of Detective Beni

Detective Beni was a detective who constantly challenged death.

One day, Beni was working in his laboratory when he suddenly said:

— I'm not going to work until I find Death.

His coworker replied:

— But Beni, you need to work. People are in danger because of murderers and criminals.

Beni answered:

— Oh, yeah? Then tell the boss I'm leaving. I'll only come back after I challenge Death and arrest it.

His coworker sighed.

— Alright.

Beni then traveled to a cave that people believed belonged to Death itself.

He walked deeper and deeper into the cave until he finally encountered the God of Death.

The God of Death asked:

— What are you doing here, detective?

Beni replied:

— I've come to arrest you and challenge you.

The God of Death laughed.

— Ha ha ha! You have a lot of courage to come here.

— Maybe I do, but I'm still going to arrest you.

The God of Death smiled.

— Only if you can defeat me in an epic battle.

— Deal.

said Detective Beni.

The battle began inside the cave.

Beni launched an attack and shouted:

— Tintulyuuuuu!

The God of Death dodged effortlessly.

— Too weak. You should go home.

But Beni suddenly attacked from behind.

Using his claw, he struck directly into the God of Death's heart.

The God of Death gasped.

— W-what...? How...? Aaaaah!

The God of Death fell and died.

After that day, Detective Beni continued challenging all kinds of deadly dangers and impossible odds.

And that is the story of Detective Beni.
