Chapter 58: Seeds of Calamity 2
Bobaros laughed in manic joy seeing his brother breathe before him. The sound was wild, unrestrained, and filled with pure elation that echoed across the ruined training grounds. He moved with fluid, masterful motion, removing his huge calabash and placing it reverently on the floor.
He then spiraled round it controlling the flow of water , catching all the debris, but the water did far more than simply clean the destruction. It rebuilt with purpose and beauty. It formed new structures that hardened instantly into gleaming, resilient ice, rising like crystalline pillars from the ashes of chaos.
Bobaros let loose one hand, continuously controlling the elegant, living flow of water with absolute precision, while the other hardened it into solid, unyielding substance.
The ice shimmered with inner strength, forming the framework of a magnificent new arena that stood defiant against the surrounding ruin.
Outside, the elders watched in stunned silence as the crumbling arena transformed into a new, majestic structure of ice. Even as a huge ball of flames sat defiantly in the middle of the arena, the ice refused to melt, holding its ground with quiet, unshakeable power.
Dabara immediately appeared like a flash of shadow. "I see those twins are at it again," he smiled wildly. "They must have gained profound insight in their battle against Demon Lord Saul," Dabara said to himself, his voice calm and appreciative even amid the destruction.
"At one hand we have a madman claiming to be our holy son, while on the other hand two demonic geniuses." Dabara's face settled into wicked delight as he observed the scene, never rushing to intervene.
Meanwhile, Garuda basked himself in the flames as he let out deep, loud laughter from the bottom of his soul, giving profound reverence to the coming of Apocia.
"Haaa… finally. Finally, Apocia has arrived!" Garuda's joy brought intense, deep heat to the middle of the whole chaos, his voice booming with almost religious ecstasy.
He circulated his aura core in rapid flows like a reversed vortex. The whole massive ball of flames visibly shrank under the immense pull.
Bobaros watched, breathing out steady streams of ice from his mouth. "He's consuming the flames," he said in genuine surprise, eyes wide with awe.
"Yes… yes, I have created a new path," Garuda laughed triumphantly, fully absorbing the whole ball of flames. Garuda's skin radiated like molten magma, glowing with raw power. He levitated into the sky, now entering a dormant state of deep comprehension.
Without a thought, Bobaros manipulated his ice at the tip of the newly formed arena, forming a flawless crystal dome around himself.
"Hold your hand, child! What do you think you're doing?" an elder scolded in towering rage. "You dare cause such a disaster and act like nothing happened?" He spoke with venomous anger, radiating peak Gold-rank aura that pressed down on the area like a mountain.
"I believe we have let you Silver rats act high and mighty for too long."
He slowly removed a blade from his back, channeling dangerous energy within it until the weapon hummed with lethal power.
Bobaros didn't care. He continued forming the ice with serene focus until it slowly covered his gaze completely.
Dabara didn't speak. He watched silently, as did several others, maintaining his composure.
"Break for me!" the elder roared. A huge hand of aura rose, holding a massive sword, slashing downwards at the barrier with cataclysmic force.
The whole group of elders watched in tense anticipation.
Boom!!
The aura blade came in contact with the barrier.
But it didn't break. Instead, it constantly changed shape, making the top of the barrier rough and adaptive, dispersing the force with masterful efficiency.
"Haha! Did that Silver rank just tank an attack from Elder Levi?"
They couldn't believe it. Elder Levi watched the crowd's laughter and banter, rage swelling violently within him.
"Devil Blade Art One: Devil Summon!" Almost immediately, several terrifying hands appeared in the sky, holding several swords. "Hand of Tabulu!"
"No way, did he just summon a demon for a junior?" some of them protested. But as long as Dabara hadn't made a move to stop him, they didn't dare intervene.
Immediately, several of Tabulu's hands came clashing down against the barrier, terrifying and heavy, each impact shaking the ground.
But the barrier still held firm.
"Are you all seeing this?" a female elder spoke in total shock. "The thoughtlessness of that boy's barrier, it's absurd!" She pointed at the top of the barrier. "Don't you see? That child is not within the barrier!"
"The arrogance and joy that flows in my bones right now, have you tasted it!" Bobaros let a smile out. "Just like when the ocean held the first life of the creator, it was washed with arrogance and so have I."
Bobaros laughed loud. "So have I been blessed with the first life of Apocia! My arrogance grows deep"
The barrier blocked incoming attacks before they could even land on Bobaros like the force from the entity was nothing.
He walked upon the barrier, his gaze fixed on the elder with calm authority.
The elder shivered, feeling Bobaros's gaze upon him. "Do you deserve an explanation from me?" Bobaros stretched his hand toward Elder Levi, moving it as if squeezing and twisting an invisible force.
"What is going on with me?" the elder coughed out a mouthful of blood. Dabara immediately came crashing in, punching the elder into the ground. His body now laying unconscious.
Dabara clapped his hands in joy, his whole being covered in radiant aura.
The other elders stared at Bobaros like an enemy, quickly activating their auras like protective skins.
He stared at all of them from the top. The demon which was once rampaging was now turning to dust.
"Truly amazing. Not only has the other one grown stronger, but the two. They have stepped into a new pinnacle."
"I wonder how far Devil Blade will transcend with these three devils in our grasp," Dabara laughed inside with genuine excitement.
"You may return to your brother's side."
Shock filled the whole grounds.
"My lord, aren't you being too lenient with these rascals?" an elder asked, as if he was going crazy with rage.
"Let them be. It's not like this is the most bizarre thing that has happened of recent."
Almost immediately, the elders remembered the boy who had escaped from the Punishment Hall.
Bobaros gave a long, unsmiling look at Dabara before he turned. His leg slowly entered the ice as he was stepping on the barrier.
"Elder Levi, are you good?" Dabara asked from atop playfully, but the elder was knocked out clean.
"Call his disciples to come take him back to his quarters."
