"Yes, Mother."
Seeing Deng snap out of her brief daze, the Master of All Changes grinned and then got up and left, heading towards Yun You's room.
Deng also took a moment to gather herself, putting on her usual carefree demeanor.
In front of her daughter, she must always act like a mother.
In her heart, she vowed to speak properly today, to reconcile with Yun You, at least to avoid another cold war—how childish it was for people their age to have such moods...
Deng even rapidly organized her thoughts in her mind, debating whether, when Yun You came, she should first put on a stern face and say, "You troublesome girl finally decided to show up," or awkwardly hand her the gift directly?
Or... maybe mimic Fanny, asking her if her recent training was going well? Though she thought this was stupid...
Deng scratched her head.
"Ahhh! You troublesome girl, I'm just going to give you the gift directly. If you dare refuse and embarrass me, all your future desserts will be mine!"
