The terrain itself hadn't changed much.
Still the same cave.
The same structure.
But the noticeable changes were in the scale, magnitude, and the visibility. Each far greater than before, posing a heightened differences.
And now
Definitely far more dangerous.
The terrain unfolded before him, refined to a level Liam found satisfying.
Not merely for the aesthetic appearance value solely, but for a variety of purposes.
It was designed to kill the weak, and also temper the talented. Every turn, every structure, every hidden danger served that balance.
A good training ground to nurture them, Liam smiled.
Before, Liam had always been the type to like management type of game in his past life. You know, like managing a city, watching it grow, noticing the little details of the tiny people.
Especially dungeon management genre where he discovered the joy of managing, handling, and creating difficult grounds for the adventurers.
Now, he finally got his wish, a real life management system of a dungeon, but...
"In a cultivation world"
Liam smiled, then brushed the side of his hair with his hand.
The idea was absurd, a difficult one to comprehend but here he is, trying his best as he could to manage everything.
Liam stood quietly, observing.
Then his thoughts shifted.
Tier one…
It didn't seem to represent just 0.1 creatures.
Tier 1: 0.1 rating
Doesn't seem to be so.
That would be too easy, and this system is anything but simple.
His gaze lingered on the movements within the dungeon, watching how the creatures interacted with the space, how the stronger ones began to take hold.
"…So that's how it works."
A faint realization settled in.
Tier one wasn't a starting bracket.
It was a limit.
A ceiling.
The final stage of what this layer could accommodate.
Which meant.
Tier one corresponded to the system's full grading scale.
Up to 1.0 from 0.1.
Anything within that range could exist here.
Anything beyond.
Wouldn't. At least for now as he still doesn't have any idea how to unlock the next tier.
"That's… useful to know."
Liam murmured under his breath, his eyes drifting toward the shadow worm boss moving deeper within the cave.
His gaze followed it for a moment, thoughtful.
But then he shook his head slightly.
One type of creature…
Wasn't enough.
No matter how efficient it was, it would grow stale.
Predictable for Lucien and Hero.
He lifted his hand slightly.
The panel unfolded before him.

Liam's eyes moved slowly across the panel.
This was something worth working with.
For the first layer, the true entry point to everything, Liam had no intention of overdoing it.
Placing a Golden Core monster here would completely break the balance he had just begun to understand.
From his observations, the dungeon didn't simply follow fixed placements.
A sufficient number of 0.1 creatures within a certain area would naturally give rise to a boss-type existence, one that roughly stepped into the early 0.2 range.
If he were to place a 0.2 creature here instead, then by that same logic, something even stronger would be born, likely a 0.3 equivalent under the system's scaling.
That wasn't what he wanted.
And perhaps, a question came to his mind. What if he did so, and try to bound to the 0.2 boss demonic beast to further increase his strength. Then an endless loop of cheating.
But he couldn't, and he knew it. The boss can't be included in the monster list.
Back onto the topic.
In his mind, the structure of the dungeon was already taking shape.
A circular, layered world, starting from a controlled inner zone, then gradually expanding outward into larger rings.
Each layer would hold its own environment, its own ecosystem, and as one moved further out, the creatures would grow stronger, more complex, more dangerous.
It wouldn't just be a dungeon.
It would be a world.
A dungeon world!
"Splendid!"
With that in mind, Liam shifted his attention to the creatures available to him, most of them still within the Qi Refining realm.
His gaze lingered briefly as he considered the environment of the first layer, dark, damp, enclosed.
Then he made his choice.
"The Mistshade Willow Serpent… it fits."
As his thought settled, a serpent appeared beside him. It was long and slender, stretching nearly 4 meters, its body a muted mix of green and dark purple that blended almost perfectly with the surrounding darkness.
It didn't move much, but even in stillness, it felt like something that belonged here.
Liam didn't stop there.
He raised his hand slightly, and the terrain responded. The ground sank inward, shaping itself under his control as he carved out a wide depression.
Water was drawn in from outside, flowing until a lake formed at the center of the first layer, spanning roughly one to two kilometers in the center.
The surface remained calm, dark, almost mirror-like.
With a small motion, he guided the serpent forward. It slipped into the lake without resistance, its body vanishing beneath the water.
Then, as expected, the dungeon's laws took over.
The single serpent was no longer just one.
Its presence multiplied, spreading across the lake as more of its kind appeared, each one moving instinctively within the environment as if they had always been there.
And then
A change.
A larger presence formed within the depths.
The water stormed briefly, and something appeared.
Liam's eyes narrowed slightly as he observed it.
Another boss.
Far larger than the rest, its body stretched to thirty… perhaps forty meters, moving slowly beneath the water.
It showed no urgency, no awareness of threat, simply drifting within the lake.
Liam watched it for a moment, a faint glint of interest passing through his eyes.
The pattern held true.
The system's behavior was consistent.
After that, he made several more adjustments to the surroundings, refining the terrain, adjusting spacing, ensuring everything aligned with the structure he had in mind.
Nothing excessive, just enough to meet his standard.
Once satisfied, he withdrew.
The dungeon faded from his awareness, and his consciousness returned to the courtyard.
The puppets reappeared around him as he settled back into the reclining chair, his posture relaxing once more.
"Once enough people enter the dungeon," he murmured, his gaze drifting slightly, "I'll begin the second layer."
A faint hum followed, his mood clearly light.
Everything was moving in the right direction. The Pavilion was thriving, the dungeon had expanded, and his strength continued to grow.
All that remained now.
Was time.
And that was something he did not lack.
The scene shifted.
A different setting unfolded, one that hadn't appeared before.
Within the city, the balance of power had begun to change.
Several third-rate forces had already taken root, settling into different corners, carving out small territories for themselves.
Most of them remained low-profile, their names barely known beyond their immediate circles.
But some.
Were familiar.
Wind Spike Caravan.
Violet Needle Sect.
Dustpetal Cult.
Haloo Bamboo Order.
And more.
At least dozens of them.
They didn't move openly, but their presence could be felt. Quiet expansion, cautious growth, each one watching the others, testing the waters without stepping too far.
Yet what truly stood out.
Were the two second-rate forces.
Even Ilya hadn't expected that.
Small branches had been established within the city, despite the area already falling under the influence of the Purple Cloud Pavilion.
It wasn't an open challenge.
But it wasn't subtle either.
Verdant Hollow Sect.
Blazing Feather Temple.
Both were established forces, each backed by multiple Golden Core cultivators. Their foundations were stable, their influence not something that could be ignored.
And behind them.
There was always the possibility of something more.
A Nascent Soul existence.
Perhaps.
No one confirmed it.
No one denied it.
But in a place like this, such things were rarely spoken of openly.
Presumption was often enough.
