Fani froze.
She quickly hid behind Dedy, not exactly eager to run into the Virellano family right now. She'd already told them she was in a hurry. If they saw she was still here, things would only get awkward.
Seeing she still had a chance to leave, she spoke in a low voice.
"I should get going first, Mr. Dedy. Please give this cake to Al... and tell him what I said."
Dedy didn't understand why Fani seemed so rushed, but he wasn't the type to pry. He simply nodded.
Meanwhile, the Virellano family walked past the area and headed toward the front lounge.
Edward and Vianna carried David inside, treating him as if he were seriously injured, even though he was perfectly fine.
They had even called the family doctor.
Watching from a distance, Fani could only let out a quiet sigh.
"I never thought someone could be tested by life like this..." she murmured.
