With Gilgamesh and Enkidu as harbingers, the Heroic Spirits who had once forged bonds with Chaldea during the long journey answered the summons of the Chaldean expedition, manifesting here one after another.
Taking ORT's predatory nature into account, the opening phase of this decisive battle would be led by the Servants who answered the summons, forming the vanguard against the enemy.
Chaldea's own retained combat strength was held in reserve as the final trump card.
If a Servant were defeated, they would be devoured. Their Spirit Origin records would be damaged, making it impossible to summon them again.
The number of Servants connected to Chaldea was ultimately limited. Even if every Master and combatant aboard the ship performed summoning rituals, there was still a clear upper limit.
Even after committing such overwhelming force, the Leyline Sealing Armament aboard the Storm Border had already entered its second cooldown cycle.
Despite the obstruction, ORT continued its slow advance, eventually reaching the boundary between the Fourth Netherworld Line and the Ninth Layer.
The Netherworld Line, now covered twice by Reality Marbles, was ultimately nothing more than a somewhat tall obstacle to ORT.
Karna, Duryodhana, and Aśvatthāman.
Arjuna and Bhima.
Rama.
The heroes of India, blessed by the Trimurti, unleashed a relentless assault on ORT with power surpassing that of ordinary Servants.
Even when its legs were severed, ORT could regenerate new ones almost immediately.
And so the battle dragged on without pause...
"You've been making quite a commotion since earlier. Has ORT really pushed you this far?"
As exhaustion spread through the surviving Servants and the Chaldean group alike, a cold voice suddenly rang out.
Camazotz stood atop the snow-covered peak of Yayauhqui, speaking with detached calm.
His voice carried no excitement, yet it reached the ears of Morgan, the Unity God, with perfect clarity.
"Camazotz?"
Shiomi sounded slightly surprised.
Simply maintaining the Reality Marble at full power to grant the fighting Servants a territorial advantage, while coordinating with the Leyline Sealing Armament and repeatedly launching interceptions through the Reality Marble, had already consumed nearly all of Shiomi and Morgan's attention.
Camazotz had merely been defeated. He had not died on Yayauhqui.
Perhaps he had originally intended to wait for Chaldea to finish dealing with ORT's remains. Once this Lostbelt lost the foundation that sustained it, it would naturally disappear.
At that point, Camazotz could finally rest after his long wandering, sinking into eternal sleep.
But...
Reality, clearly, was not so simple or accommodating.
"I am Camazotz—the king who forgot his nation and his people. The last hero."
Camazotz spoke quietly as immense mana once again enveloped his body, swelling and expanding.
"ORT. If you want to pass through here, you must leave behind the proper price! Last time it was my heart. This time, leave that body behind!"
Transforming once more into a colossal bat, Camazotz leapt from the peak of Yayauhqui and dove toward ORT.
The crystalline tentacles capable of devouring and absorbing Servants' Spirit Origins were violently severed before they could even touch his body.
The last hero of the Kingdom of Ka'an met once again the enemy from 6.6 million years ago and charged forward without hesitation.
In his beast form, Camazotz's size was nearly equal to ORT's.
The scene looked like two gigantic beasts tearing into each other, yet it did not feel that way at all.
It felt more like a life born from the planet itself, pouring out its final strength to destroy a long-standing foe.
As an enemy, Camazotz was a troublesome opponent even for Shiomi. Yet when he stood on the same side as Chaldea for his own reasons, he brought with him a strange and stirring sense of encouragement.
Rage.
Resolve.
Mourning.
All these emotions surged within Camazotz.
He would use this body—created from the sacrifice of the entire Kingdom of Ka'an—for one purpose alone.
To completely destroy his ancient enemy.
At last, ORT's advance was halted. It could no longer move forward.
Every strike thundered across the sky. Every impact shook the earth.
A myth that had endured through sixty-six million years of Mictlan's history was being reenacted once more in this dying world.
Camazotz's stand bought precious breathing room for the surviving Servants.
His desperate battle also rekindled the fighting spirit of those who had begun to tire.
"Camazotz, you're right. This is still far from over. The real battle is only just beginning, isn't it, my wife?"
Shiomi's spirit surged again with renewed determination, no longer weighed down by caution and constant calculations for a way to break the deadlock.
As one body and mind with him, Morgan sensed the change immediately.
She raised her hands and clasped them together, fingers interlocking.
Despite the immense mana consumption, they were still far from being exhausted.
Camazotz also sensed the enormous surge of mana behind him. With a sudden swing of his claws, he unleashed a storm of attacks in an instant. The barrage nearly tore off all of ORT's legs, preventing it from advancing any further.
From what seemed to be its head, ORT fired a concentrated beam of mana. It pierced through the joint where Camazotz's wing connected to his body, blasting a massive hole through him.
"Not bad, ORT... but!"
With a roar that burst into a wave of sound, Camazotz suddenly leapt upward and shot into the sky.
As the largest target on the battlefield, his presence successfully drew most of ORT's attention.
"Vasavi Shakti - O' Sun, Abide to Death!"
"Pashupata - Raised Hand of the Destruction God!"
After Karna and Arjuna raced to release the True Names of their Noble Phantasms, Bhima, Duryodhana, Aśvatthāman, and Rama followed suit, each unleashing their own.
At the cost of releasing their Spirit Origins, they launched an enormous combined assault, heavily damaging ORT just as it was preparing to fire a second beam at Camazotz.
At last, ORT's movements faltered.
Not merely slowed.
It truly stopped.
Morgan had finished her preparations as well.
"Witness the planet's primordial origin, ORT... Earth Mother's Feast!"
The earth trembled with a different kind of resonance.
It was the planet's anger. A faint response against the invader eroding it.
Under that power, ORT could no longer maintain its original form. Its body began to fracture and break apart.
"Eh?"
The result caught both Shiomi and Morgan by surprise.
Chaldea had already committed a tremendous amount of force. In a short time, dozens of Servants had manifested for this battle only to fall soon after.
Those still capable of fighting were only a few top-tier Servants such as Gilgamesh and Enkidu, and even they were covered in wounds.
"What are you staring at! It's far too early to relax!"
Gilgamesh shouted sharply.
Enkidu quickly gathered mana, but his brow furrowed.
"No... we won't make it in time."
"So you've finally shown your true form, ORT! Take this! Scythe that Beheads Those Who Cannot Worship the Sun!"
Camazotz roared the True Name of his Noble Phantasm as he descended from the sky, his fury twisted and ferocious.
