Chapter 1010 - Vol. 12 – Chapter 87: Decisive Battle in the Fantasy Tree Sea (1)

As a former savior who had undergone a pilgrimage spanning thousands of years, Morgan's words alone carried a stirring power.

Just hearing them was enough to encourage the Chaldea group, who stood tense and uneasy as they prepared for an unknown final battle. It calmed them more than a little.

Even so, doubts still remained.

"Can something like that really be stopped?"

Standing on the deck, Olga Marie watched ORT as it advanced.

A lifeform beyond comprehension.

An absolute predator.

Just looking at it was enough to awaken the instinctive fear of death engraved into human genes.

And not even an ordinary death.

Judging from the Clock Tower's expedition into the South American forests several centuries ago, whether being turned into crystal could even be called an easy death was something neither Olga Marie nor anyone else wanted to imagine.

"With only the strength of the people on this ship, it's honestly not enough."

Morgan watched ORT's path of advance, then turned her voice toward the bridge.

"Have you calculated it yet? How long until ORT breaks through Mictlan?"

"At its current speed, if nothing obstructs it, ORT will pass through Mictlan and reach the surface in twenty hours."

Romani relayed the calculation from Trismegistus.

"But Miss Sion just brought us some good news."

"The four Underworld Lines are free zones where Heroic Spirits of Proper Human History are allowed to respond to summons. If we use the Chaldea summoning formula and have Storm Border's three deuterium-core engines provide supplementary Mana support to all Masters, then large-scale warfare using an army of Servants is possible."

Sion immediately followed with that report.

"Summoning Servants for large-scale combat..."

Olga Marie turned and looked at the members of Team A.

"This is practically a repeat of the battle at the Temple of Time."

"And with Scáthach and Skadi operating the Leyline Blockade Armament for fire support."

Morgan smiled faintly.

"That is good news. But if we limit the battlefield to the four Underworld Lines, we'll be far too passive."

"What do you mean?"

Ophelia could not help but ask.

But Morgan gave no answer.

She had already flown from the deck and stopped directly in ORT's path.

Behind Chaldea lay the Fourth Underworld, Yayauhqui.

"[Piling up like rainfall, gathering like dust; melting like snow, vanishing like lies. This is the hope set aside beyond reach, this is the sin buried by time. This is the homeland engraved within our ancient memories.]"

Morgan softly chanted the incantation.

Her voice intertwined with Shiomi's, like a song without melody.

This was the incantation needed to unfold Shiomi's Reality Marble.

Now that he had ascended as a god and become the Unity God together with Morgan, the precision and concept of that Reality Marble had far surpassed anything it had once been.

This was no longer a matter of pulling ORT into the Reality Marble.

Instead, the Reality Marble would erode reality itself, clash directly against ORT's Reality Marble, and carve out within Mictlan a domain permitted by the Unity God.

"Detected a new large-scale Reality Marble deployment! This is...!"

Another report rang out from the bridge.

"Eternal Orkney, open."

The two voices sounded at once.

Within less than a minute, the whole of Mictlan, which had already been eroded by ORT, was covered once more in an entirely new color.

A pure white land of snow.

A land of forgotten sorrow.

No matter how many more beautiful memories they might create in the future, Orkney, where Shiomi and Morgan first met, would always remain an unforgettable time for both of them.

And now, they would use that remembered land to cover Mictlan itself.

They would rewrite the laws of this land, transforming it into a place where the Boundary Record Belt of Proper Human History was permitted to manifest.

"Tezcatlipoca really is a good teacher. Every time I fight him, I end up learning all sorts of things about what it means to be a god."

Shiomi could not help sounding impressed.

"Though it is rather hard to thank him for it... even if he did help us drive back the newly awakened ORT."

Morgan shook her head.

It was precisely because Tezcatlipoca had helped the Unity God deal with the newly awakened ORT in the underground temple that ORT had temporarily stalled before starting up again, raising its Spirit Origin scale from satellite level to stellar level.

But that was not Smoking Mirror's fault.

Once Chaldea had displayed enough power to defeat an opponent at satellite level, as long as ORT itself was not killed, it was hardly surprising that it would restart.

"Still, having your Reality Marble eroded feels awful. Like swallowing a rag that's been used to wipe up vomit."

Shiomi added.

"My husband really doesn't need to make it sound quite that vivid..."

Morgan had little room to spare for commentary, but even so, she could not resist teasing Shiomi for how calm he was.

"Shall we switch?"

Shiomi suddenly asked.

He meant handing control over to him, which would naturally bring a change in form.

"It only changes who has to work a little harder. It won't affect our overall strength," Morgan said. "I'll do it."

"Understood. Then I'll focus on supporting my wife's mind."

Shiomi accepted Morgan's choice and turned his attention to protecting her will.

A Reality Marble was the manifestation of one's inner landscape. If the Marble was being eroded, then naturally that erosion would also affect its user in turn.

Fortunately, the two of them had the benefit of two minds' worth of resistance.

At the same time, aboard the Storm Border...

"We have confirmed that Mictlan's environmental laws have been altered. Even the areas outside the Underworld Lines have been rewritten by the Unity God's laws and turned into a special domain where Servants are permitted to manifest. We still don't know how long it can be maintained."

Romani reported.

"Do we really need to ask? That depends on whether Teacher and Morgan can keep the Reality Marble going without distraction."

Olga Marie stepped forward.

Behind her stood Chaldea's Masters.

"Heroic Spirit Summoning System, activate!"

Excluding Daybit, the six who had once been Crypters stepped forward first.

They would be the first Masters to carry out the Servant summons.

"[I hereby declare.

Your body shall be under my command.

My fate shall rest upon your sword.

If you heed the Holy Grail's call

and follow the course of Human Order, then answer!

You who are bound by the star-watching words of the seven heavens,

run! fall! and deliver judgment!

O guardian of the scales!]"

As they chanted in unison, the Servants who had once served as each of their blades manifested once more, gathering upon the deck of the Storm Border.

Kadoc looked at the Servant who had answered his summons.

Anastasia.

He had thought she had remained behind upon that snowy plain, yet now they were meeting again...

After meeting her gaze, Kadoc gave a silent nod.

"In the name of Olga Marie Asmleit Animusphere, Director of New Chaldea, I hereby issue the operation order."

"[Battle of the Sea of Fantasy Trees], begin!"
