Chapter 344 - Like an Open Book

Like an Open Book

Harry was irritated at being mistaken for a monster wearing fake skin.

His anger could be clearly seen in his own Chaos Magic, which wrapped around him violently, as if a storm were about to break loose.

Lucius still maintained his arrogant expression, ready to face the brat head on.

Greed could even be seen in his eyes, as if he already considered that power his own.

Lucius' body also began changing slightly as more blood started running down his deformed red skin filled with small tentacles.

But aside from blood, something else began coming out of his body.

Chaos Magic.

It barely surrounded him, staining his skin an even deeper red and deforming his body, as if it were slowly corrupting him.

Harry stared directly at him, watching Lucius' body twist unnaturally from using Chaos Magic.

But Lucius interrupted his thoughts.

"A power that does not belong to this world. A power that should never exist. Do you know everything I managed to achieve with a single drop of my blood thanks to this power? Those ordinary animals turned into grotesque creatures, capable of easily destroying an entire town in just a few hours. They should already be causing disasters right now, even keeping your precious mother occupied. Do you understand what that means? That we wizards no longer need to fear fighting against muggles. The same fear that once held back even Grindelwald and Voldemort. Do you understand that with this power we will not only cleanse the impure who do not deserve magic, but we will also rule like kings? Like gods. I don't know how that woman conceived this power," Lucius said while smiling in amusement. "But she truly must be horrifying, right, brat? An abomination. And you're the same," Lucius added while his own skin slowly changed.

Harry's face became colder and colder with every word Lucius spoke.

"I already devoured a monster like you. I'm looking forward to devouring yours too," he added while raising both hands.

A wave of Chaos Magic briefly spread out while the surroundings began changing like a mirage.

The cemetery transformed into a wasteland filled with blood and corpses while the sky glowed an intense red, even the clouds themselves.

Harry glanced around calmly, noticing that every corpse surrounding him belonged to people he loved and knew.

All that blood began swirling together, creating a river slowly flowing toward him.

Every breath carried the metallic smell of blood while Lucius' laughter echoed from every direction.

"I spent years hiding after escaping that horrendous place, perfecting this power. Long enough to obtain my revenge. I'll start with you and then use your corpse to…" Lucius did not finish speaking when Harry simply raised one hand and snapped his fingers.

Snap.

The entire illusion in front of him instantly shattered, returning him to the cemetery where he had been standing before.

Even Lucius was still standing in the same spot, though his smile completely vanished and changed into uncontrolled fury shining in his eyes.

"You… how did you do that?" he asked in an irritated tone.

Harry looked at him dryly, raising his hand again and saying:

"Like this."

And snapped his fingers once more.

Which only made Lucius' anger even more obvious, realizing Harry was openly playing with him.

Lucius raised his hand toward Harry and clenched it shut.

Out of nowhere, the ground beneath Harry began trembling slightly before twisting violently, and suddenly the earth on both sides of Harry rose upward.

Pam.

Both sides slammed together trying to crush Harry in the middle.

But before he could be crushed, Harry's body turned into red mist and scattered apart.

Lucius raised his hand and the Chaos Magic responded, trying to trap Harry's mist form.

But Harry dodged while gravestones and trees around them were crushed by an invisible force in the direction Lucius pointed his hand every time he clenched it.

Seeing he could not catch him, Lucius shifted his gaze toward the others who were still trapped inside the illusion.

And specifically pointed his hand toward Sirius.

Harry quickly regained his form, raising his own hand toward Sirius before slashing it downward through the air.

This caused Sirius' body to suddenly become half buried underground while the angel statue from one of the gravestones behind him exploded apart.

"Well, if they didn't wake up, I was planning to deal with him completely myself. But since you already woke up, maybe you could give me a hand," Harry said in a somewhat annoyed tone while moving his hand, causing a stone coffin to form around Sirius. It closed with Sirius inside before burying itself underground.

Lucius heard Harry's words and shifted his gaze for a moment.

Right when something burst out of the ground beneath him, forcing him to step backward.

Just in time for a solid golden spear to shoot upward past his chin, leaving behind a small bleeding cut, almost impossible to notice beneath all the blood already covering his body.

Lucius shifted his gaze from Harry toward Draco, who had opened his eyes and currently had a rather annoyed expression directed at his friend.

"If you had kept your mouth shut, that attack might've landed," Draco complained.

Even though the person it had nearly pierced was none other than his own father.

Right beside him, Narcissa slowly opened her eyes.

"Mother, please let me deal with him," Draco quickly said toward his mother, who gave Draco a look and then glanced at Lucius before slowly nodding.

And she crossed her arms calmly, prepared to intervene if necessary.

"You weren't so proud during the tournament," Draco said disdainfully toward his best friend.

"Shut up. I'm trying to wake everyone up while listening to the nonsense your beloved father keeps saying," Harry replied in an accusing tone while moving his hand to protect Selene, as a red flash entered through her temple, prepared to wake her up.

Draco let out a disdainful snort before looking back at his father.

He did not understand what he was trying to accomplish by showing them that stupid illusion.

But he definitely did not enjoy learning what he had turned himself into.

Lucius, upon seeing Draco and Narcissa escape the illusion so easily, frowned for a moment.

But he did not seem to care too much.

Maybe he had expected that seeing a world where he had remained in their lives would make them reconsider.

But even he doubted something like that would work.

Maybe it was the last trace of affection he might once have possessed.

Though he himself completely discarded that idea.

Seeing that Narcissa merely stood off to the side, prepared to intervene if necessary, only Draco stepped forward to face him directly.

Lucius felt intense irritation toward that open disdain directed at him, despising even more the woman with whom he had once shared his life.

So now all that remained was proving that he was not someone a pair of brats could play around with.

"Draco…" Lucius murmured while looking at the golden spear that had almost stabbed him moments ago. "I suppose if something is going to be done properly, I'll have to do it myself," he added while his gaze became dangerous, fully deciding to kill his own son with his own hands.

Lucius' body slowly began floating while being surrounded by Chaos Magic.

And he looked down at Harry and Draco as if he were some kind of god staring at ants.

Harry and Draco watched Lucius carefully.

Neither of them showing even the slightest trace of fear.

If anything, they looked openly disdainful.

Because they had seen worse.

"So… want to compete to see who beats him first? That'll settle the tie from the tournament," Harry murmured toward Draco. "This is your chance since I'm doing two things at once," he added with amusement.

Draco only gave him a dry look. "I can tell you've been pretty happy all day. Looks like your evil plans finally trapped a poor veela," Draco said slowly.

Harry cleared his throat. "I have no idea what you're talking about," he said.

Draco only rolled his eyes. He knew him too well. There was a reason Harry had spent the entire fight between him and Luciel bothering them, acting arrogant and constantly mocking them.

Even Lucius' insults had not completely ruined his mood.

Lucius saw the two calmly talking even while he stood directly in front of them, and his gaze became more dangerous.

"Looks like my first display of power will be getting rid of my bloodline and the freakish child of that monstrosity," Lucius said.

Meanwhile, on Hogwarts' side, time itself seemed frozen, with only a few people capable of moving at high speed using magic to capture those strange creatures that had emerged from the ground.

Wanda's attention was fixed on the horizon as if she were carefully watching something.

From time to time her expression became dangerous and irritated before returning to normal.

As if she were hearing an insult and was prepared to act, but stopped herself because she was still needed here, and Narcissa was also keeping an eye on the boys.

Wanda finally figured out why she had been unable to sense those creatures until they appeared directly in front of her.

Wanda shifted her gaze for a moment as someone slowly approached her.

It was Edward, who had several signs of battle on his clothes, small traces of blood.

Daphne, who was nearby with Hermione, saw her father and quickly approached him.

"Dad, are you okay?" she immediately asked after noticing the blood on his clothes.

Edward, the moment he heard his daughter's worried question, broke his cold expression and gave her a warm smile.

"It's not my blood," he calmly said.

Daphne showed an impressed and proud expression upon hearing those words.

Though Hermione had many questions about them, she was more worried about something else.

She approached Wanda.

"Aunt Wanda, are Draco and Harry okay?" she asked worriedly about her two friends.

Wanda, who had a serious expression, looked at her and gave her a smile, about to reassure her with calm words.

But her expression cracked, freezing for a moment.

And she slowly turned her gaze back toward the same direction as before while murmuring:

"Freak? Monstrosity?"

Hermione and Daphne, who were close to her, heard those words and saw her expression.

One very similar to the face Harry makes when someone manages to wound his pride.

Wanda's face became irritated once again.

She looked around and saw the last monster had already been captured by Moody.

Then her gaze locked onto Edward.

"Handle the rest here," she told him before releasing the magic that had restrained everyone's movement, as if the entire world suddenly began moving again.

And without waiting for a response, she disappeared in a flash of red energy.

"That wasn't the plan," Edward murmured.

But he only let out a sigh while turning toward the people who, after having time restored, were still trapped in chaos and panic, running in every direction.
