The Perfect Trap
Meanwhile, outside the tornado of flames, which had stopped growing thanks to Armand now being distracted, prepared to face his own son, everyone stared at the fire before turning their attention back toward their own enemies.
With Sirius now free from having to fight Armand, he shifted his gaze toward the Death Eaters present.
Among them were several familiar faces.
But the one that caught his attention the most was his own cousin Bellatrix, her husband Rodolphus, and his brother in law Rabastan Lestrange.
"Dolohov, Rookwood, Travers… mmm yes, looks like you're all a lot more alive than I'd actually like…"
Before Sirius could even finish his words, Bellatrix used apparition and appeared at his side, raising her wand toward Sirius.
"Avada Kedavra!" she screamed while the green flash crossed the distance at surprising speed.
But the moment Bellatrix moved, Sirius simply followed her with his eyes as if even apparition was completely visible to him.
Without saying much else, Sirius made a circle in the air with his wand and out of nowhere a root rose from the ground, intercepting the attack.
But after being struck by the Avada, it immediately began drying out, losing its life and showing the danger of the dark curse.
But Sirius didn't stop moving and pointed toward the now dead wood, which transformed into two enormous wooden lions that, the moment they landed on the ground, became more and more realistic until they turned into actual flesh and blood.
"GROOOOW!" both roared before immediately charging toward Bellatrix like two enraged beasts.
Bellatrix launched an attack at one of them and a magical rope wrapped around its legs, causing it to crash to the ground crashing down and rolling violently.
The other was already lunging toward her.
But before it could strike her with its claws, Bellatrix's husband swung his wand and a red beam shot out, hitting the lion midair, causing its body to explode into wood, splinters, and dust, covering the surroundings from view.
But through the cloud of wooden dust, a white flash moved at high speed straight toward Rodolphus, who raised his wand to defend himself from Black.
But Sirius was faster, apparating directly in front of Rodolphus with his wand already raised.
Swosh.
A blinding flash of light struck Rodolphus directly in the eyes, not even giving him time to say the incantation before he was left blinded and stunned by the flash.
"Stupefy," Sirius said point blank while ignoring the spell coming from Rabastan.
Because suddenly a wall of ice blocked the attack thanks to Selene, who also took advantage of Rabastan's distraction to launch a spell at him that covered him in ice, encasing him like a decorative statue.
Taking the Lestrange brothers out of combat in just an instant.
Bellatrix, annoyed, raised her wand to attack Sirius again.
But at that moment she felt every drop of water in the surroundings, from the plants, the ground, and even the air itself, starting to move in one direction.
So she turned her gaze and found Narcissa, who was surrounded by a growing current of water that absorbed the moisture around her.
Narcissa raised her wand toward her sister and made small movements in the air, causing blades of highly pressurized water to emerge from the water around her, sharp enough to cut through anything.
Bellatrix had to use apparition to dodge those devastating and merciless slashes.
Because neither Narcissa nor Bellatrix had mercy for each other.
They reserved that only for the people they loved.
Narcissa moved her gaze across the battlefield, finding Bellatrix easily and continuing to launch water slashes.
Dolohov used apparition to appear behind Narcissa, trying to finish her off while she was distracted.
But the moment he appeared near her, he felt something pierce through his feet, causing intense pain.
He looked downward.
"AAAAAAH!" he screamed while watching golden spears pierce through his legs and pin him to the ground, preventing him from taking even a single step.
He tried to cast a spell to free himself, but another golden spear shot out and pierced through his wrist, causing another miserable scream to escape his mouth.
Rookwood, seeing his companion trapped, immediately tried to help him.
But the moment he turned to do something, the ground beneath him briefly trembled.
Then he lowered his gaze and saw the ground transform into a massive stone mouth that suddenly snapped shut around him.
But before it could crush him instantly, he reacted in time and a massive explosion engulfed everything, destroying the stone mouth while he was blown backward, somewhat injured by his own explosion.
But the moment he touched the ground in another part of the battlefield, the earth, as if it had come alive, swirled toward him.
"Ah… ahhhhh!" he screamed while trying to move his body, which was slowly hardening from the amount of earth trapping his limbs.
Until his body turned into something like a snowman, but made of dirt instead, leaving him completely trapped.
And seconds later the earth transformed into solid stone before sinking back into the ground.
Harry, who had trapped the Death Eater, had his hand raised and shifted his gaze toward Dolohov, who was screaming in pain from Draco's attack.
And he raised his hand to do the same thing to him.
"Imperio."
The words were heard before the mind control curse suddenly struck Harry out of nowhere.
Harry froze briefly before slowly turning his gaze toward whoever had hit him with the spell.
And stared at him without doing much else.
"Hehehehe… got you, brat," Avery said while looking at Harry proudly. "Come on. Use that magic of yours to kill your friends," he said almost excitedly.
Meanwhile Draco, standing beside Harry, gave his friend a glance and then looked at Avery as if he were a clown.
As for Harry, who was staring at Avery, he simply raised his hand casually, pointing directly at him before closing it as if it were a mouth.
Then the ground beneath Avery transformed into the same mouth that had attacked Rookwood.
But the idiot Death Eater didn't react in time like the previous one and only watched as it snapped shut around him.
"BOOM."
With a thunderous sound.
Before sinking into the ground and making the stupid wizard who believed he could control someone whose magic affinity heavily leaned toward mental magic disappear.
Lucius, who stood there watching all of this, felt his face twisting further with fury with every passing second.
Bellatrix escaping Narcissa's attacks.
Sirius moving across the battlefield at high speed with his special apparition, causing chaos among the Death Eaters, who couldn't react in time.
Others trying to defend themselves from Selene's freezing attacks.
And even though everything looked chaotic, every movement their enemies made seemed perfectly coordinated.
As if the trap Lucius had tried to set had actually fallen into someone else's trap instead.
And that thought couldn't have been more accurate.
Lucius gritted his teeth in rage while muttering:
"Useless… a bunch of useless idiots."
His gaze returned toward the nearby storm of fire where Armand had been trapped, when he should've already come out after killing that brat.
But he was still there, only making it clear that even he, a veteran dark wizard, was also having trouble with a mere teenager suffering from a knight complex.
This was supposed to be his declaration to become the new Dark Lord.
And the corpses of these people, including his wife… ex wife and son, were supposed to be part of it.
But the more seconds passed with them still alive, the more furious it made him.
And especially because the moment the Scarlet Witch dealt with the beasts he himself had created to distract her, she would come here.
And even with the new power he now possessed, he wasn't completely certain he could truly face her.
Lucius sighed as if realizing something.
"Fine. If I want something done properly, then I can't leave it to others. I'll handle it myself," he said while his red eyes glowed deeply with a dangerous aura that spread across the entire battlefield like a pulse of energy.
Harry, just about to launch another attack against the Death Eaters, stopped his hand and turned to look at Lucius.
Harry slightly tilted his head, and a faint interest could be seen in his eyes while that familiar energy traveled through his body for barely a second.
