Chapter 327 - The Final Trial P7

The Final Trial P7

After hearing Marton's words, the screen the audience was watching from Fleur's perspective suddenly shut off, and nobody knew what was happening.

"What was that?" someone shouted from the stands.

Unfortunately for everyone, the screens had no sound, so they couldn't have heard what words Marton used. But the fact the screen had shut off right at that moment couldn't help but make people nervous without knowing what was happening, since they had just seen Victor get attacked by the person who was supposed to be his fellow Durmstrang student.

Even Karkaroff was grinding his own teeth hard while watching this, though trying to look calm.

"That idiot. He's trying to defeat Victor to become the champion. Even if he wins, I hope he's prepared to get expelled," he muttered hatefully, as if Marton, from his own school, was nothing more than an extra piece meant to help Victor win.

Only some of the more experienced people seemed to recognize the spell Marton had used, and they frowned.

Sirius had a cold look for a moment while shifting his gaze toward the nearby stands where Edward was sitting calmly beside his assistant. Strange, considering Selena was seated on this side.

Edward looked toward Sirius and gave a slight nod in some kind of signal before murmuring something to his assistant Sil, who understood immediately and quickly moved down from the stands.

And along with them, several people started moving rapidly around the area at the same time, as if something had already begun.

Meanwhile Sirius turned his gaze toward another section of the stands where he could see Marton Kovac's brother, who was sitting with the foreigners that had come from France to watch the match, while animatedly talking with a fairly familiar young woman; Juliette Marceau, daughter of the former French Minister of Magic.

"Idiots," Sirius mocked calmly for a moment before turning his attention back toward the only three screens still working, the ones showing Harry, Draco, and Luciel, not seeming particularly worried about Victor or Fleur.

Maybe because of confidence.

Or because everything was truly under control.

Victor's eyes instantly widened after seeing the mind control spell fail, and he quickly raised his wand.

"Desmaius!" he instantly shouted toward Marton.

Marton, even after dodging Fleur's attack that caused his control spell to fail, quickly swung his wand.

"Protego!" he said while defending himself from Victor's attack and at the same time taking some distance.

Fleur didn't stop either and unleashed a machine gun barrage of spells, her specialty. Unlike Harry, who had seemed to deflect them easily like he was simply playing around, Marton started violently swinging his arm while barely deflecting some of them, while others struck his body, making painful grimaces appear on his face.

Victor didn't stay still either and quickly fired spells toward Marton, completely furious because he had almost just been controlled by his own schoolmate.

"Depulso!" Victor shouted, wanting to break through Marton's defense.

Trying to defend himself from Fleur's spells, which kept shattering his Protego that he recreated after every impact, was already taking a lot out of him.

Then Victor's attack slammed directly into his chest.

Normally it would have sent him flying backward, but after hitting his chest, Marton only took a single step back while another one of Fleur's spells struck him in the chest.

"Aaah!" Marton shouted in pain, but without falling.

He quickly raised his wand as if abandoning all defense and launched an explosion toward Fleur and Victor.

Victor quickly rolled away to dodge while Fleur moved her wand, catching the explosion with the tip of it and redirecting it to the side, before a whip shot out from the tip of her wand and lashed toward Marton, wrapping around his free arm.

But Marton quickly grabbed the whip too, even while the impact cut into his arm, and pulled on it while trying to disarm Fleur that way.

Fleur was slightly yanked forward, feeling this guy's strength was far greater than what he had actually been showing, even being forcefully pulled toward him and lifted off the ground.

"Diffindo!" Victor shouted, cutting the whip with his severing spell and helping Fleur, because right now, against this maniac who had just used an unforgivable curse, she seemed to be his ally.

Fleur fell forward, but rolled across the ground to soften the fall before getting back up and raising her wand.

"Glacius! Stupefy! Petrificus Totalus! Confringo!"

She instantly launched four chained spells, pronouncing them so quickly it almost sounded like a tongue twister.

Meanwhile her wand spat out all four flashes instantly without delay between them, one after another.

Marton, who until now seemed to be enduring all the spells despite showing pain, apparently didn't dare risk taking those four head on and instantly rolled across the ground to dodge them while his expression became more and more irritated, and at the same time paler.

"Impedimenta!" Victor instantly shouted.

And that spell hit Marton before he could fully dodge Fleur's spells, while his body suddenly seemed to slow down.

Marton's eyes widened in panic.

Then Fleur's four attacks slammed into his side in an explosion that sent him flying.

Marton rolled several times across the ground. Normally, an average wizard would have been knocked unconscious by just the first one. But Marton rolled and quickly pushed himself back up while instantly bringing a hand to his aching ribs. And with his other hand, he raised his wand.

"Incendio!" he shouted while a wave of flames burst toward Victor, the closest one.

Victor's eyes widened for a moment in surprise that Marton had gotten back up again, but he quickly jumped away from the flames.

Even Fleur had a look of surprise seeing Marton endure those four attacks with barely any damage and still keep getting up to continue fighting. But she quickly shook her head while seeing the flames rapidly grow, not only burning the path toward Marton but also the walls, which had started catching fire.

"Aguamenti!" Fleur shouted while a stream of water burst from her wand, extinguishing the flames while smoke surrounded them.

Victor raised his wand, about to launch an attack toward Marton, who still wasn't stopping his stream of fire toward him.

And right when he was about to attack, Marton reacted quickly and extinguished the flames before shouting:

"Imperio!"

Once again toward him.

This caught Victor by surprise since he had been about to attack.

But right at that moment, the water that had been extinguishing the fire so it wouldn't spread suddenly slammed into him with force, making him dodge the attack while completely soaking him at the same time.

Victor quickly stood back up completely drenched and shot Fleur a quick glance, since she had just saved him, though not in a particularly comfortable way.

"Thanks," he said in a sarcastic tone.

"You're welcome. Maybe we'll end up neighboring prison cells," Fleur said in a serious tone fitting the situation, even though her words absolutely weren't while staring directly at Marton.

Victor gave Fleur a confused look for a moment, not understanding the implication right away.

And he also looked toward Marton, who apparently had already tried to control him twice.

Meanwhile Marton was breathing heavily, still holding his ribs while his face looked pale as paper as he stared at both of them. But his gaze still looked determined, even if it was impossible to know exactly toward what.

Wanda was watching the screen where she could see her son fighting against his friends when this was supposed to be a race.

But seeing him so happy while causing problems made Wanda unable to stop herself from letting out a slight smile while shaking her head.

Even so, her gaze occasionally shifted in different directions as if she were attentive to any strange movement. But even if things were happening that she could sense, she didn't seem to move at all, because it looked like a larger plan was already underway to completely eliminate every possible threat to her children once and for all.

It had been a long time since she trusted other people.

She couldn't help but feel that for a long time now she had truly become attached to this world, even after leaving everything behind in the other one, where she had also lost everything.

And it's all thanks to that boy who's about to destroy half the labyrinth right now, Wanda thought lovingly while looking at her son, who seemed to finally stop playing around and released all the chaos power from his body, which instantly spread through the surroundings, suddenly dyeing the entire labyrinth red.

"Haaa… I told him not to exaggerate," Wanda said for a moment while letting out a sigh.

"Well. You asked for the impossible. Last time all of them were together in a competition like this, they nearly destroyed the entire coliseum," Susan said with a smile, remembering the golem competition from a couple years ago. "Maybe since all four of them aren't together and it's only Harry and Draco, it won't end that badly," she added.

But then her gaze returned to the screen while her smile instantly broke and her face shifted into complete shock.

"Or maybe it will," she said again while the entire crowd around them fell silent.

Not only while looking at the screens sharing the same battlefield.

But even with the naked eye toward the labyrinth, they could see a gigantic golden hand suddenly rise from the ground and crash downward to crush everything.

When a wave of red energy suddenly stopped it.

And suddenly, a flash of crimson flames released a slash of fire that cut through both the golden hand and the red magic, while a huge section of the labyrinth was split open down the middle.
