Hero Association Online - Part 2
Tony raised his arm and a shield made from nanotechnology instantly formed over it, protecting him from the axe attack and deflecting it toward the ground.
Tony followed up with a punch that made the giant lose his balance. Then both of his hands transformed into two massive cannons that fired a point-blank energy pulse, sending him flying.
Directly toward the other alien, who simply moved his hand slightly and effortlessly redirected his own ally's trajectory.
Then he raised both hands, and suddenly the cars around them lifted into the air and came flying straight toward the group.
Strange raised both hands, rapidly forming magical seals. A magical circle formed in front of him, spinning at incredible speed like a magical saw. With another gesture, Strange sent it flying toward the cars, slicing them in half while it continued toward the enemy.
But the alien merely stepped slightly to the side with disdain while raising one finger. A nearby building suddenly cracked apart as if its foundations had bent, beginning to collapse directly toward them.
Tony, seeing this, let out an annoyed sound and instantly flew upward while sending out several drones to try and hold the building. It was probably still full of people who hadn't managed to evacuate in time.
But while doing this, the giant that had been sent flying earlier took advantage of the opening to attack. He threw his axe, which was attached to a chain that seemed to stretch endlessly, and it struck Tony, who couldn't defend himself because he was using his nanoparticles for the drones holding the building up.
The impact sent Tony flying.
Tony crashed through a building straight into a nearby park, slamming into a tree. Tony raised his hand, activating his communicator again.
"Hellooo. I need assistance with civilians," he said quickly.
"Class A Hero Quicksilver on the way," Pietro said through the communicator while the sound of him moving at incredible speed could already be heard.
"Class A? Seriously?" Tony asked, somewhat surprised.
"That's what happens when your sister abuses her position as the president's assistant to punish you," Pietro replied in a slightly annoyed tone.
But this really wasn't the time for a conversation. The massive battle axe suddenly came crashing down from the sky straight toward Tony, trying to cut him in half.
Tony activated the thrusters in his hands, causing his body to move to the side. Then he flew directly toward the huge enemy, who instantly raised his arm, from which a circular shield unfolded, and slammed it toward Tony while he flew at him firing energy blasts from his hands that ricocheted off the shield, cutting down the surrounding trees.
The muscular alien grabbed Tony by the leg and slammed him violently into the ground. Before pulling on the chain of his axe, making it fly back into his hand.
He swung toward Tony again, who touched his wrist for a moment.
"Raise the enemy threat level to upper Class S," Tony said while watching the axe approach, already charging energy into his thrusters to dodge.
But it wasn't necessary.
"Upper Class B Hero currently undergoing promotion mission to Class A, Spider Man, in the area," a familiar voice said while someone was seen moving at high speed before delivering a double kick to the axe, deflecting it so it slammed into the ground beside Tony.
"Tony, I already got the civilians out of the building. Now I'll get the rest. Try moving your damage zone somewhere more open," Pietro said while the civilians trying to escape were rapidly pulled out of the area one after another.
Meanwhile, other low rank heroes incapable of fighting against Class S enemies began appearing to evacuate civilians. That made Tony nod slightly.
"Alright, kid. I'll act as supervisor for your evaluation," Tony said while the drones made from nanotechnology that had been holding the building flew back and reattached themselves to the Iron Man suit.
"Awesome," Peter said while turning around. But the giant immediately took advantage of that distraction to grab him and throw him far away.
At the same time, Tony raised both hands, forming two enormous cannons alongside other cannons floating above his shoulders, all charging energy for a second before firing point blank at the enemy, who was blown back several meters. But while trying to stop himself, he slammed his axe into the ground, halting his movement through the air.
Then he looked to the side, grabbed a tree, ripped it out by the roots, and hurled it toward Tony in the air.
Peter appeared behind the giant at that moment and quickly moved, attaching a web to his leg while firing another toward the flying tree and connecting them together. Using the force of his own throw to yank the giant off balance. But the moment he raised his leg, he swung his axe and easily sliced through the web. Then he turned toward Peter, slashing sideways.
Peter ducked. The axe passed barely over him while Peter, moving with incredible agility, stepped onto the giant's leg to use it as leverage. Then with a jump, he kicked upward directly into his chin. He even used his other foot to propel himself while striking the giant in the chest.
At the same time, Tony from above had an attack charging. And a powerful beam shot out from his cannons like a judgment that burned everything in its path.
"AAAAAH!" the monster screamed for the first time as his skin burned and the smell of scorched flesh spread through the air, though different from the smell of normal human flesh.
But the creature still seemed capable of attacking and hurled the axe one handed directly toward Tony, forcing Tony to interrupt his laser attack to dodge.
Then the monster turned and immediately caught Peter, who had been trying to trap his legs with webs. He grabbed one of the young hero's legs and hurled him with all his strength toward Tony. Tony hesitated for a brief moment after seeing Peter get caught, causing Spider Man to crash directly into him and send both of them flying away.
…
Strange, meanwhile on his side, was fighting against Ebony Maw, who seemed to be an absurdly powerful telekinetic.
He raised his hand, and the bricks scattered around the area from the collapsed building lifted one by one before turning into sharp spikes, which shot toward Strange.
But Stephen opened a portal while Wong beside him opened another, sending the attack right back at them. Ebony Maw tried to protect himself using a nearby car.
But his own spikes were sharp enough to pierce straight through it easily, with one stabbing directly into his shoulder.
The disdain instantly disappeared from Ebony Maw's face, and he moved his hand while pointing toward Wong as a metal fence beside him suddenly moved, slamming into him and sending him flying away.
Strange reacted quickly and launched another attack, this time in the form of a whip toward Ebony Maw. Ebony Maw caught it easily, but then grabbed the magical cord effortlessly and yanked Strange toward him mockingly.
Strange's body slammed against a nearby wall while the bricks shifted to imprison him.
Meanwhile, Ebony Maw maintained his disdainful expression as he opened his mouth.
"Pretty little lights. You must be popular with children," he told him as if Strange's magic was nothing more than a dumb trick.
"You're not going to keep talking like a Renaissance actor anymore?" Strange asked sarcastically.
Ebony Maw ignored his words and attempted to grab Strange's necklace, but it instantly burned, scorching his hand.
"A simple but unbreakable spell," Strange said with a calm smile.
The pain in his hand along with the wound in his shoulder only seemed to make Ebony Maw even angrier.
"Then I'll have to rip it from your corpse," he said while grabbing Strange by the neck and hurling him toward the ground. Then he moved his hand as electrical cables burst out from the street, ripping themselves free from the underground grid, and wrapped around Strange before he could even move a finger. The cables began tightening around his neck more and more as if they wanted to tear his head off.
Strange barely managed, with the little oxygen he could still get out, to say:
"Removing the enchantment from a dead man is complicated," he said before the cables completely cut off his air.
Ebony Maw made an irritated expression.
"Then you'll wish you had died right now," he said while watching Strange lose consciousness. Then he loosened the cables around Strange's neck so he wouldn't kill him just yet. Then he raised one finger, lifting the ground beneath the unconscious sorcerer, clearly preparing to take him off the planet.
But a blur passed by like a gust of wind.
"Ok, I'm taking him," a voice sounded out and Strange, who had been lying on the floating chunk of rock, disappeared. Or rather, he had been grabbed by Pietro, who instantly sped away at high speed.
Ebony Maw turned around and his gaze locked directly onto Pietro, who should have been impossible to perceive, while the alien's face twisted with growing fury over the interruption.
