Chapter 25 - CHAPTER 25 – THE MASTERLESS HORDE NEST

They soon arrived at the edge of a supercluster that spanned five hundred and forty billion light-years.

Seth stepped into the supercluster and gestured for Solanky to follow closely.

Solanky nodded and followed without hesitation.

The moment he entered, his eyes widened in amazement.

Suspended in the endless void were two colossal oval-shaped structures, each radiating an ancient and terrifying aura.

Unable to contain his curiosity, Solanky turned to Seth.

"What are those?"

Seth smiled faintly.

"These are two of the four gifts the Master left behind."

"They are called Horde Nests."

"As you can see, each stands nearly twenty light-years tall."

Solanky's breathing became uneven.

"Could... could these be the legendary Horde Nests used by the demons and devils in the God Realm?"

Seth shook his head.

"The things you see in the God Realm are not worthy of being called Horde Nests."

"They produce mindless creatures that know only how to attack."

"They lack intelligence, coordination, and defensive instincts."

"That makes them vulnerable to counterattacks."

Solanky slowly approached one of the massive nests.

The moment he entered within one kilometer of it, an overwhelming pressure descended upon him.

Cold sweat instantly trickled down his back.

He stared at the gigantic structure in disbelief.

"What... what exactly is this?"

"Even the Horde Nests captured by the great powers of the God Realm cannot compare to this pressure."

Seth smiled.

"The Horde Nests in the God Realm are nothing more than embryonic Forsaken."

"They have yet to leave the incubation stage."

"The strongest among them is merely comparable to a Fourth-Dimensional being."

Solanky's expression froze.

The Forsaken he had witnessed in the God Realm possessed strength at the level of God Emperors.

Yet those terrifying creatures were apparently nothing more than infants.

With a wave of his hand, Seth teleported both of them onto the very tip of the enormous nest.

"But this..."

He gently tapped the surface.

"This is a true Horde Nest."

Solanky looked at him curiously.

"In what way is it different?"

Seth formed several seals before pressing his palm against the nest.

Immediately, countless ancient engravings spread across its surface and began glowing with a brilliant light.

"Look below."

Solanky lowered his gaze.

The scene before him completely stunned him.

Beneath the outer shell of the nest rested tens of billions of Forsaken, each curled up within transparent incubation chambers.

Every single one emitted an aura no weaker than Sect Master Zuloch.

Solanky's heart pounded violently.

Seth chuckled.

"They are still infants."

"They are merely growing."

"Believe me..."

"I wore the exact same expression when the Master first showed them to me."

After a while, Seth brought Solanky to the second nest.

Unlike before, sorrow filled his expression.

"This may resemble the Forsaken Horde Nest..."

"But it isn't."

"It contains the final remains of the Ancient Devil-Gods."

"The last survivors above the Mysterious Realm throughout the entire Infinite Source Worlds."

Solanky was stunned.

"How could something like this happen?"

Seth's eyes darkened.

"We were betrayed."

"The Ancient Devil-God whose corpse that old man stole..."

"He was the traitor."

"He deceived our entire race."

"Because of him, we walked directly into an ambush."

"An unknown force annihilated the Ancient Devil-Gods."

"I survived only because the Master intervened."

"Eventually..."

"I avenged my people."

Silence filled the air.

Seth and Solanky slowly descended into the nest.

The moment Solanky stepped inside, he immediately felt an even greater pressure than that of the first Horde Nest.

It far surpassed the pressure emitted by the sect masters of the God Realm.

Seth stopped before the countless preserved corpses and respectfully bowed.

Without hesitation, Solanky stepped beside him and bowed as well.

Seth looked at him with surprise.

"You have no karma with them."

"Why did you bow?"

Solanky answered calmly.

"I bowed because I know they did not surrender."

"They faced an enemy whose strength surpassed their own."

"Even then..."

"They chose to fight until the very end."

"Anyone with such courage deserves my respect."

Seth's expression softened.

"The Master honored their final wish."

"He preserved their Life Cores."

"So that worthy successors could inherit their strength, techniques, and legacy."

"Or perhaps..."

"So they could help prevent another catastrophe."

He raised both hands and formed countless seals.

The restrictions surrounding the nest slowly dissolved.

Then he looked at Solanky.

"Offer a drop of your blood."

"They will acknowledge you as their master."

Solanky immediately shook his head.

"I don't want to treat them as pawns."

Seth sighed.

"You misunderstand."

"This is exactly what they wished for."

"Even if they become pieces upon your board..."

"They would rather continue protecting the future than disappear forever."

After a long silence, Solanky nodded.

"I promise."

"These one thousand Ancient Devil-Gods will only be used for a righteous cause."

"And one day..."

"I will ensure worthy successors inherit their power."

He cut open his palm.

A drop of blood landed upon the nest.

The instant it touched the surface, every preserved corpse slowly opened its eyes.

Golden light illuminated the entire nest.

The countless engravings burst into brilliance.

At that moment, the Life Energy and existence of every Ancient Devil-God flowed directly into Solanky's consciousness.

He could clearly sense every one of them.

Seth smiled.

"Now..."

"For the Master's final gift."

"I cannot personally hand it to you."

"You must claim it yourself after reaching the level of God of Creation."

"Until then..."

"I shall pass down the combat techniques of the Ancient Devil-Gods."

"You may use them as a foundation to create techniques uniquely your own."

Solanky nodded gratefully.

He then looked around the immense supercluster.

"What about this place?"

Seth replied,

"Since you must conceal your true strength for the next ten thousand years..."

"Leave behind a single drop of Blood Essence."

"When your consciousness enters it, you can cultivate here."

"The difference in time will allow you to comprehend techniques without affecting the outside world."

He then smiled.

"Sit down."

"I'll teach you how to command the Horde from the shadows."

Excitement immediately flashed across Solanky's face.

If he truly mastered the Horde...

He would command more than ten billion Forsaken, each possessing power at the Mysterious Realm.

Even a God of Creation or a Devil of Destruction would hesitate before confronting such an army.

Seth slowly raised both hands.

A crystalline rock fragment nearly one hundred kilometers across condensed from the void.

He pointed toward its center.

"Sit."

Solanky immediately obeyed.

Seth flew around the enormous platform while continuously forming mysterious seals.

When he finally stopped, he teleported the entire continent directly above the Forsaken Horde Nest.

Ancient engravings spread across the crystalline surface.

Mysterious characters floated into the air.

The instant Solanky saw them, understanding naturally emerged within his mind.

It was the supreme technique for effortlessly commanding the Horde.

He carefully read every character while reciting the incantation aloud.

At the same time, he continuously formed the accompanying seals.

Half an hour later...

He had completely mastered the technique.

The moment he activated it, he instinctively stopped midway.

He calmly recited the incantation again from the beginning.

The two gigantic Horde Nests immediately began shrinking.

Their twenty-light-year bodies rapidly condensed until each measured only a few inches.

Both quietly disappeared into Solanky's body.

Satisfied, Seth smiled.

"It has been ten years since you entered this place."

"In the outside world..."

"Only ten days have passed."

"I believe it's time you tested your newfound strength."

Solanky smiled and nodded.

Seth stretched out a hand.

A transparent crystal screen materialized before them.

It replayed the moment the Bloody Sea Sect accepted the mission to assassinate Solanky.

Seth chuckled.

"Your body's toughness now rivals that of a God of Gods."

"And that's without using any enhancement techniques."

Solanky rose to his feet and respectfully bowed.

He prepared to leave.

However, Seth suddenly stopped him.

"One more thing."

"You must wait ten thousand years before seeking revenge against the old man called Zenom."

Solanky silently nodded.

He bowed once more before leaving the mysterious dimension.

Although his true cultivation had reached the level of a Dimensional God, the restriction Seth placed upon him caused others to perceive him as merely a God Emperor.

Even so, among beings below the Dimensional Realm, his speed was unrivaled.

He shot through the depths of the lake at eighty thousand meters per second.

Moments later, he burst above the water's surface.

Immediately, his spiritual sense spread throughout both the trial space and the forbidden dimension.

Every terrain...

Every creature...

Every disciple...

Was engraved into his memory.

Among them were all the disciples of the Bloody Sea Sect who had entered specifically to hunt him.

Solanky calmly descended to the ground.

Pretending to have lost his bearings, he wandered aimlessly through the forest.

Suddenly...

A disciple leaped from the shadows.

His spear pierced toward Solanky's back with deadly precision.

At the last moment, Solanky casually bent down as though picking something from the ground.

The spear narrowly missed.

The attacker landed awkwardly.

His face twisted with rage simply because his attack had failed.

Not far away stood the leader of the group.

A genuine God Emperor named Nokopolie.

He was the greatest genius among the new generation of the Bloody Sea Sect and was deeply favored by the sect's upper echelon because of his extraordinary talent.

Nokopolie glanced at Solanky with obvious disdain.

He had no intention of dirtying his own hands against someone he considered beneath him.

Looking toward his subordinates, he calmly gave the order.

"Kill him."

The surrounding disciples immediately obeyed.

The strongest among them, a cultivator half a step into the God Emperor Realm, stepped forward first.

Holding a dagger in each hand, he sneered.

"Prepare to die."

He exploded forward with astonishing speed.

Surprisingly...

Solanky made no attempt to dodge.

Instead, he calmly lowered his stance and welcomed the incoming attack.

His composure startled both the attacker and the other disciples of the Bloody Sea Sect.

Nokopolie frowned impatiently.

"Just finish this weakling."

The assassin reached Solanky in an instant.

His twin daggers slashed downward with killing intent.
