Lauran faltered, unable to respond.
Amber:
"I trusted Mrs. Devisāthat's why I left my child behind.
Not because of you." š
Her voice sharpened.
"But when you tore the last page of the curse bookā¦

Lauran:

Amber:
"Perfect? Ha. No one had the audacity to step inside the William Houseā¦

I found out everything the moment I saw you trying to poison Megan and that day you even tried to kill her ." š
Megan:
"ā¦š¶"
Lauran:
"No wayā¦ š¶"
Amber:
"To control a true soulā¦ a touch is needed.
But to ride it away? You need a pure soul touch."
She turned to Megan, a sly smile on her lips.
"Am I right?" š
Megan:
"Yeah š¶"
Amber's eyes softened just a fraction.
Amber:

She stepped closer to Lauran, voice low but venomous.
Amber:
"You tried to frame me, tried to poison megan , and split the familyā¦
Do you really think you could hide that from me?"
Lauran's sneer faltered.
Her carefully constructed plan, her manipulationsā¦ all crumbling in front of Amber.
Amber:
"Dear Lauranā¦ remember this.
You messed with the wrong family.
And the only thing I fearā¦ is nothing." š
The room fell into silence.
Megan watched, awed, as Amber's aura radiated power and control.
