"You…" Zerathos's eyes widened in shock.
He couldn't understand how Evalyn had managed to attack him. His senses were razor-sharp; if anyone had approached him, he would have definitely noticed.
Moreover, a magical shield protected his body. It should have been impossible for any attack, no matter how powerful, to penetrate it—let alone destroy it.
Evalyn gave a faint smirk.
"One thing you must never forget is to never underestimate your enemy. Am I right, Demon Emperor Zerathos?"
She thrust her sword deeper, causing Zerathos to groan in pain.
"Damn it!"
Rage erupted within him. He wanted to twist his body and strike Evalyn, but he couldn't. His body felt locked in place, restrained by an invisible force.
That force was the same one sealing his power.
"Human, release me now! Or do you want everyone here to die?" Zerathos threatened.
He couldn't move. The only way out was to make Evalyn pull the sword from his body.
