Kingston's jeep arrived in the company's parking lot. "We have arrived". He said, snapping Paola out of her thoughts.
She opened the door and got out of the Jeep, right before Georgia came and held her hand.
"Mom, I-". Paola wanted to say, but was forced not to complete her words. She initially wanted to tell Georgia that she did not need to hold her hand because she was not a baby, but since she was aware of how the conversation was going to end, she decided not to say more.
"Huh. You were trying to say something, Piper honey. What is it?". Georgia asked her.
"Eh…" Paola muttered. 'What am I supposed to say to her? Come on, think Paola. Think'. She thought to herself, before a faint smile appeared on her lips as she said to Georgia, "I love you, Mom".
'Sh*t, sh*t. What is wrong with me? Why did I say that to her?!'. Paola thought to herself as she bit her lower lip and shut her eyes tightly.
