Chapter 4 - :A Deal Written In Blood

I like the direction this is going. From your notes, this is the continuation after Nathan

Nathan stepped into the private lounge.

The heavy mahogany door closed behind him with a muted thud, shutting out the pounding music from the nightclub below. Instantly, the atmosphere changed. The room was silent except for the gentle crackle of an electric fireplace and the soft clink of ice against crystal glasses.

Several men in expensive suits stood the moment he entered.

Their confident expressions disappeared almost immediately.

Nathan's icy blue eyes swept across the room once before settling on the man seated comfortably in the center.

Victor Lang.

The same businessman bold enough to send assassins after him that very morning.

Nathan slowly removed his black overcoat and handed it to one of his bodyguards without taking his eyes off Victor.

His movements were elegant.

Calm.

Too calm.

That alone terrified everyone present.

Victor forced a smile.

"Mr. Nathan... what a pleasant surprise."

Nathan didn't answer.

Instead, he walked to the leather chair opposite Victor and sat down, crossing one leg over the other with effortless grace.

Only then did he speak.

"A pleasant surprise?"

His deep voice was quiet.

"But I thought you expected me to be dead."

The room froze.

Victor's smile stiffened.

"I... I don't know what you're talking about."

Nathan leaned back lazily.

"No?"

He nodded once.

One of his bodyguards stepped forward and tossed a thick brown envelope onto the glass table.

The photographs scattered everywhere.

Pictures of armed men.

Bank transfers.

Phone records.

Security footage.

Every piece of evidence pointed directly at Victor.

Nathan tapped one photograph with a slender finger.

"This man confessed before dying."

Another photograph.

"This account belongs to your company."

Another.

"And this vehicle transported the assassins."

Silence.

Cold sweat rolled down Victor's forehead.

His fingers trembled uncontrollably.

Nathan watched him the way a lion watched an injured deer.

Without mercy.

"You know..."

Nathan spoke almost absentmindedly.

"I dislike being lied to."

Victor suddenly dropped to his knees.

"Mr. Nathan! Please! I was forced! They threatened my family!"

Nathan's expression remained unreadable.

"They?"

Victor bit his lip.

He realized he had said too much.

Nathan noticed.

"So there really is someone behind you."

Victor quickly shook his head.

"No! I... I..."

Nathan sighed softly.

"What a disappointment."

He stood.

The simple action made everyone instinctively step back.

Towering over Victor, Nathan looked down at the kneeling man without the slightest hint of pity.

"I gave you an opportunity."

"You chose betrayal."

Victor desperately grabbed Nathan's trouser leg.

"Please! I'll return the money! Double it! Triple it!"

Nathan slowly looked at the hand touching him.

Then...

His bodyguard stepped forward and kicked Victor away.

Nathan dusted off invisible dirt from his trousers.

"My suit is expensive."

His calm tone somehow felt even more terrifying than shouting.

"Take him."

Two men immediately seized Victor.

"No! Mr. Nathan! Please! Mercy!"

Nathan didn't even turn around.

"Whether he lives..."

"...depends on what he tells us."

Victor's desperate screams echoed through the room before the heavy door slammed shut.

Silence returned.

Nathan picked up the untouched glass of whiskey.

He stared at the amber liquid for a brief moment before setting it down again.

"I've lost my appetite."

One of his assistants stepped forward respectfully.

"Sir, should we leave?"

Nathan nodded.

"There is nothing else worth my time here."

As they exited the private room, the deafening music of the nightclub once again reached his ears.

Colored lights flashed across the hallway.

People laughed.

Some danced wildly.

Others staggered around, already drunk.

Nathan ignored them all.

Then...

A familiar voice drifted from the corridor.

"Daisy... are we almost there? I'm getting really nervous."

Nathan stopped walking.

It was the same voice.

The soft voice belonging to the golden-haired boy he had briefly seen downstairs.

His eyes unconsciously shifted toward the hallway.

Standing beside a young woman with bright orange eyes was the beautiful boy.

Golden locks framed his round face.

Large emerald-green eyes sparkled under the colorful lights.

His cheeks were slightly pink from nervousness.

And when he smiled awkwardly...

Two tiny bunny teeth peeked out.

Nathan's usually indifferent gaze lingered for one second longer than usual.

"...Cute."

The word escaped his thoughts before he realized it.

The boy looked no older than eighteen.

Small.

Bright.

Completely out of place in a nightclub filled with wealthy elites.

Nathan frowned slightly.

Why did someone like him seem so... familiar?

Before he could think further, Benny turned toward Daisy and laughed softly at something she whispered.

That innocent smile unexpectedly caused Nathan's heartbeat to pause for the briefest moment.

"..."

Nathan looked away first.

Ridiculous.

He had companies to run.

Enemies to eliminate.

Deals worth billions waiting for his approval.

He had no reason to care about some university student with rabbit teeth.

Without another glance, he continued walking toward the exit.

Yet...

For reasons even he couldn't explain...

The image of those bright green eyes refused to leave his mind.
